I was gonna say, Doug and OB on post games always warmed by harbles.

Mac/Boers as the HFC.
North/Jigs
Murph and Fred in the mornings
Silvy and Waddle.
Mac/Tiny/Jurko

I think you have to group them as a team and not solo. No one has had a great solo show.

The chemistry has to be perfect to be memorable.

I would mostly agree, though I think Murph's weekend/evening solo shows were really good.

This is good but I liked Murph solo. But he was good w/ Fred and Hood.

To me, solo Murph after a Cubs loss was almost as good as Doug/OB after a Bears loss. I also liked solo J. Hood after a Bulls loss (i.e., most games) during the post-dynasty years.

The pairing of Doug and OB is cheating.

Eh, they both kinda sucked on their own, but they were magic when paired together.

I loved Doug with North, but North was clearly what made that show great.

Yeah, I didn't need Doug's opinions on the NBA. I needed Doug to remind us that they get paid to play the game.

I liked Doug and Norm since half of the time one didn't know what in the hell the other was talking about. Plus, they actually enjoyed sports.

It was rough but they tried. I give them that.

Hub for the first few years after he was launched from the Bears broadcast crew was fairly entertaining because he obviously was pissed at the team so he almost always went contrarian on all things Bears. However, he's become the quintessential team spin person over the past few years and now he's hard to take seriously.

Doug and OB's post games shows were incredibly entertaining because they were more meatball than the meatball callers, but you could almost feel the anger surging through the airwaves.

Doug wasn't very good in a five day per week format.

Norm was bonkers. Put him on overnights and he's be talking about aliens and MK Ultra before you know it.

I don't think it is fair to say Doug sucked on his own. They were clearly magic together, but Doug had some good moments in other times as well. OB not so much.

I can't really think of a definite fifth.

Jim Kozimor and Tom Waddle had a pretty good show way back when on AM1000.

Mike Greenberg was enjoyable when he was on WSCR. He seemed different as part of Mike & Mike and what he is now. I don't recall him sounding like such a yammering twit when he was on WSCR.

Tommy Williams was a corny, but enjoyable listen for an hour or two when he was on in the evenings and/or weekends. Meanwhile, in Bologna...

I enjoyed Greenberg when he was on the Score and also a young Danny B hosting on the weekends.

100% Fun bad when it wasn't Bulls or Bears.

Sunday morning solo Bernstein during baseball season was great radio. Just enough silliness like his admiration of Ivan Calderon.
