According to Adam Hogg. I've never been to a Bears game but I've gone to a few concerts and the lack of parking should be a good enough reason to tear it down.

Cowboys don't play in Dallas. Giants and Jets don't play in NY (Christ, they're in a different state). The 49ers don't play in SF.

It's no big deal. Who cares where they play the damn 8 games?

Season ticket holder and yes!
Soldier Field sucks for multiple reasons.

1. Getting in and out is a cluster. Take Metra, take the bus ride, takes forever each way. Forget catching a cab, uber, etc. for a while. Drive down, pay 50 bucks to park. Only train line close is south shore. Its horrible.
2. It is a crap stadium. Probably the worst redo on the planet of stadiums.

3. Concessions suck and limited, everything needs to be updated. A dome for other events.

Only place it looks good is on google maps. Right by lake, outside of that it sucks

It's cold in the winter in Arlington Heights. And they get snow and wind as well.

But it would be a dome if they build one, though. So we can get other shit here like concerts and the final four.

The Bears tailgates would still be cold. So that's cool.

This is just a guess of mine, but I'll bet the majority of Bears season ticket holders live in the NW suburbs. So I'm sure most would be for it.

I like the idea.

Then demo SF and build a Miller Park structure for the Sox.

It's only 8 games. You should want it for all the other shit you would get in that dome stadium. Concerts and other sports, final four, a Super Bowl. Lots of money for Arlington Heights. Bars and restaurants would thrive. So think about them if you're proud of your hometown.

Could extend the important parking lot we needed to keep instead of the Lucas Museum.

What an eyesore it would be to have a domed stadium looming over Arlington Heights. That's even worse than the condos with the fake-patina roofs!

Would this be financed with gambling money? Current Bears ownership had a hell of a time putting together a deal last time and they just were doing a renovation.

If they own the land the money will be easy.

How about they build a stadium in Woodridge. LOL Just tear down the old Ditka Dome on 53 and Boughton Road.

Yeah, it would really ruin the picturesque skyline of Arlington Heights.

I had to walk 10 minutes to the Guns N Roses show because you can't find any parking under 40 bucks near the stadium. I pretty much avoid all concerts at Wrigley and Soldier Field.

There might be better places if they are opening it up to a search.

I don't like Soldier Field. Sight lines are pretty good right now but the stadium seems incomplete, and yes, concessions absolutely suck.

I suppose a move would allow them to get closer to restoring Burnham's vision. Make Soldier Field an outdoor Museum of Scoundrels containing all the sculptures they are taking down.

Granted it’s not directly off the lake but.. you aren’t getting rid of ‘Bear weather’ by moving to Arlington Heights.. unless they build a dome

If they do it, they will absolutely build a dome. It would be stupid not to. At least a retractable roof. So they can get more events there in the winter.

Because the Bears are only 8 games. You need to get more events out of that stadium if you're gonna spend 1 billion to build it. That's what it would cost. Probably more like 1.5 billion.
