It's a more than acceptable tavern style pizza. Though the one I'm guessing dolphin frequents on Caldwell is always loaded with families full of screaming children from Sauganash and Niles running about unsupervised.

There always was a youth sports banquet going on there, and it's a madhouse. Great food though.

I was one of those kids many years ago....

Barnaby's is, indeed, pretty good.

Even if I'm in the Skokie-Niles-Morton Grove tri-city area, though, I'll still go out of my way to hit Candlelite over Barnaby's. Candlelite makes a really nice Chicago thin crust.

Bad look for Chicago when a guy gets carjacked in the background of a pizza review

some other news, PENN it an all time high today and is being added to the S&P 500 index. Everything Dave touches turns to gold, except poor folks who stop to watch a live pizza review and then get carjacked because of course this is fucking Chicago...

$PENN up to $140 after hours. I told everyone here to get in on it when they got involved with Barstool at $20 something

lol, there were cops right there next to the car that got jacked... if that isnt going to deter a car jacking (a cop and cop car being 10 feet away) then there is no stopping it

Literally hit the cop car too pulling out of there and they couldn't give 2 fucks about it

One of the stations is going to air this video at some point this weekend during a newscast. I'm certain of that.

Helping to solve a carjacking where the police could not is what's going to start the ball rolling for Portnoy For The People 2024. I can feel it.

Are we sure this wasn't a Barstool setup?

They hit a cop car so probably not.

How do we know that was a real cop car?

You can't trust what you see anymore.

The main camera missed it and only the cell phone camera caught a glimpse of it. If it was real, it would've been a better angle to catch more of it rather than just a bit of secondary angle on a cell phone camera.

Channel 7, this is not a good look. You're amplifying Bad People. Do better.

EDIT: there it is, Dave Portnoy is worse than a carjacker

Julie might show you a toe (roast beef) for this one, buddy!

That's the attraction of it.

It's a fun mix though. The south half of the restaurant near the bar is where the hard core people sit. Not many kids in that section and the roided up, always suntanned guy who works the bar keeps the peace. I have no doubt he is mobbed up.

I'd say the north side is a free for all. However, the booths are so small and people are usually there in groups so people sit in quads rather than just one table a family. It's like a high school cafeteria as no one is really sitting in their seat for the long haul. Kids are up moving from table to table and parents are monitoring. I think its fun. You could probably eat a full meal without ordering food as pizzas are on every table open to anyone in the group. You are usually there with a team so parents don't know each other. Pick up a slice and if someone questions you just say "I'm Jimmy's dad"

it was fucking $4 a year ago. besides the portnoy hype machine is there actual data to agree with this valuation? i know their online sportsbook has been doing well but it's only in a few states right now.

The stock's rise has been in line with analyst price targets, which have continually been raised over the last 6 months.

A lot of it is based upon expected growth as they will be in 10-12 states with the sportsbook by year end and can expect their traditional casinos to rebound.

In addition to that, more states are going to legalize sports betting as they need the revenue and see other states cashing in. The big one to watch this year is NY.

As for Barstool's competition in the sportsbook arena, they don't have to spend much on marketing. Barstool, DK, and FD may have similar takes on the initial weekends but Barstool does it without the 9 figure ad buys that the other companies are doing each quarter. Barstool's marketing department is essentially their media platform which is profitable on its own according to Penn's most recent quarterly results. Everyone is spending money on customer acquisition while Barstool makes money while acquiring Penn's new gaming customers for the app.

That's why people are betting so heavily on Penn to be the big winners in this space.
