Yes I worked at Rax for a summer job and the food was good. For fast food yes Arby's is decent.

I really liked this one about Burger King vs McDonalds. Shows how Burger King had MCD on their heels w/ the Whopper.

BTW, has anyone noticed how much McDonalds fries have gone downhill? They're inedible at least 80% of the time you get them. they used to be the gold standard, now they are garbage.

definitely agreed on portillos, i don't know what happened but it's not the same. and they fuck up orders more often now.

i can only eat mcdonald's fries if i'm in the store. they have to be fresh; after 5 minutes they're--as jim gaffigan has described--packing peanuts.

I wondered if was just my local spot, or if I was nuts. It was bad enough when they changed from the fat they fried them in in the seventies but whatever they're doing for the last year is horrific. And they jacked up the price about 100 percent to boot.

McD quality control has gone downhill last 10 years. The fries have really really sucked the last year. I don't each much there but when I do order, the fries have been absolute shit.

I saw a commercial that Arby's has come out with their version of the Fish O Filet sandwich. Much bigger than McD's. But who the fuck eat's at Arbys.

I think it's been decades since they last used animal fat to cook the fries. My guess is the decrease in quality is from not changing the oil as frequently as they used to.

I guess if you want to put Cipotle in tier 1 I wouldn't object. Personally it drops on my list because you can get so much better mexican food just as fast from 1000 different places in Chicago.

I don't agree on Chic Fil A. I have it definitely in tier 1. Simple menu and they don't do much, but they do a very good job with what they do. And always great service there compared to the others.

I agree that Portillo's is overrated, but only because people choose to go there over neighborhood hot dog/beef stands that are 100x better and usually less than a couple miles away. It's still in the same class as the tier 1 places though when you are comparing it to other fast food chains. There are plenty of items on their menu that are top of the line for fast food chains. The italian beef, chopped salad are great examples of that.


5 guys makes 2 things basically (burgers and fries) and one of them is terrible (fries). Burger is good though.
