Unreal. Should have just brought Mitch's ass back if this was the best option.

This sucks.

Agreed. Worst choice in the world. Who wants to watch a washed up Andy Dalton?

OMG. Pace is an idiot.

At the end of the day, none of the this matters. We're all going to end up in depends and die with no memory of the Bears or anything else in life.

1. Mitch is younger with a potential for more upside. Dalton is what he is at this point. And he's old. I would say he sucks. Some might be able to argue average. So what? Either way it's 8 or 9 wins at best. Gets you nowhere.

2. Mitch can at least move a little bit. Dalton can't.

3. Mitch would have been cheaper so you could spend money else where.

It's just a fucking stupid move.

Let me be the god damn GM of the Bears. I swear I could do it better.

Nagy hates Mitch and thinks he makes him look bad.

I get that he hates him. But get over it. Mitch would have been better then the red head. Nagy should care more about the better QB for his god damn team.

We had limited options and they chose the worst option of all the bad options.

Nagy thinks Mitch is an idiot and likely believes Dalton is a better option.

Excellent post. Headed off the rails with the last sentence but made it vague enough that I’ll give you a solid 9 out of 10. Well done.

We would have been better off signing Jeff George than Dalton.

If they trade up and draft someone, I don't know who, would that change anyone's mind?

No. Because then it would mean they wasted 13 million on the red head. They're not gonna trade up, by the way. That's not gonna happen.

People always say why do you care about the money they spend? They say "It's not your money". I always laugh. I care because it's a salary capped league and I want them to spend it the right way for the best players. That's why I care.

You already have Foles for that. The money could have been used to sign another WR. I imagine that you can get Golladay for around $18 a year with a starting salary of around $13M. That's how you set a young quarterback up for success. Put multiple weapons around him.

Think about the 3 free agent QBs that Pace has signed. Where he just pissed away salary cap money on garbage players.

Glennon
Foles
Dalton

It's just amazing.

I can’t believe I’m saying this in a Bears thread but Nas is right. Also, what would they have to give up to get one of the top QBs? In all likelihood you’re looking at the 5th or 6th best guy.

All season long I emphasized the Red Rifle.

NOBODY CARED.

NOBODY wanted anything to do with the Red Rifle.

But now u get to watch him every week. He will be right in front of your eyes.

And u will now praise the red Rifle every day.

There's a reason I emphasize certain things. Now u see it right in front of you.

shut up. The Red Rifle rocks.

He can still play. And he is consistent. Not spectacular, but he's also immune to terrible play filled with incompetence and turnovers.

The Red Rifle is the FUTURE. Dont forget, he's only 33 years old. He was run out of Cincy too early.

Not necessarily. The (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky passing attack basically consists of rollouts. He can't even run the ball that well any longer because injuries have caught up with him. Dalton should be a little better than the above.

The Bears had the opportunity to sign Dalton last off-season, but chose to give up a 4th round pick and guarantee Foles over $20M. Do they really believe that Dalton is an upgrade or do they now believe that Foles sucks? My biggest issue with Dalton is that he's played with great offensive talent for his entire career and he's been slightly above average at his peak. Last season, he got to play behind a solid offensive line and great talent at the skill positions, and he was slightly worse than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky statistically. Is Lazor going to be Dalton's lucky charm?

Well it's clear they think Foles sucks or else they don't do this. And they are right. Foles does suck. I hate him. I don't know what they can do with Foles. Maybe a 6th round pick in a trade. Probably not. They'll just cut him. No reason to have two 32 year old guys making decent money on the fucking roster. What team has two veterans as the 1 and 2 on their team? Nobody.

This just pisses me off the more I think about it. It's just stupid.

Yeah, he is better than Mitch. Rather get Andy than Pace mortgage the future to save his job. These clowns are gone in 11 months.

Mitch and Nagy are both over it. That's what happens when you get benched twice in as many years. It would only get toxic if he stayed.

They played a similar amount of games, and 2020 (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was slightly better than 2020 Dalton.

The story isn't them signing Dalton, the story is which QB will they be drafting.

As long as Pace doesn't trade up, Im good. No more pissing away picks to move up needlessly to get bums.
