Remember when we were just a kicker away from the Superbowl?

I'm going back to rooting for the Colts. I did this in the 90's. Came back and gave the Bears a second chance when Lovie brought them back to relevance.

Not firing Pace and Nagy was a slap in the face to all Bears fans. Someone should start #I'm done

Moving away has helped me check out. These threads are about all I follow, plus whatever comes up on the occasional national show I might catch, or if I'm visiting my father in Chicago on a Friday as he has the radio perpetually on.

But this team is cooked until Virginia dies and there is an estate sale of some sort, and whoever takes over pushes Ted Phillips out and hires a true football person to take over.

Mitch signed for 2.5 million. Dalton got 10 million.

Really? Could have saved 7.5 for the better and younger guy. I just hate that pace and Nagy are stupid.

Mitch can't read defenses. His coaches didn't have confidence in him. The Bears have to run a prevent offense with him. The Bears top brass threw him under the bus at the season ending press conference. No NFL team looking for a starting QB went after him. It's time for him to move on. Maybe he'll get better somewhere else. Maybe.

I agree. I don't understand the belief that Mitch would improve under Nagy. If anything, he has stagnated or regressed as a passer since 2018. And his running ability has definitely declined. He has no upside under Nagy. The same is likely true for Dalton, but that's a separate issue.

Wait until Mariota signs for much less than 10 and wouldn't have cost the Bears their comp pick.

Statistically speaking, (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is a superior Quarterback at this point with more upside, I'm not saying the Bears should have signed (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky at 1 year 2.5 million as that bridge was burned, but if Mitch could be had at 2.5 million, then this was a clear case of dopey dick Pace bidding against himself again. What teams were lined up to sign Andy Fucking Dalton? At 10 million a year. Someone has to step in and remove Pace from his position, this is pure incomptence. Let Nagy coach this year, but you can't let Ryan Pace make another single football decision.

Insane. No idea he’d been cut. Another theme of the Pace years is an aggressive lack of patience and inability to read tea leaves.

Pace heard that the 49ers were interested and overpaid AGAIN.

And now we have to cut Kyle fuller instead of saving that 7.5 million and keep him.
