No, if I understand the board correctly, missing out on a good player is a win.

A substantial win if that player is one of the best QBs in the game.

Great point. Get rid of Graham's contract and $6 or $7 million on the Dalton contract, and it would be a lot easier to keep Fuller.

Yeah but somewhere they had to spend money on a QB. They just picked a bad one.

But my point is they probably could have signed Dalton or his equivalent for 6 or 7 million less.

Not so much, Bob. The Packers can beat up on the Bears and Vikings during the regular season, but repeatedly fail in the playoffs.

At least we know the Bears will suck next year. The Packers will gone into the season with Super Bowl hopes that get squashed again in January.

If that makes you feel better

This line of trolling will always be really funny and yet just pathetic to me. Like somehow being a 13-3 team that loses in the conference championship is worse than being the 2nd biggest laughingstock in the league. The Texans are the Bears Mississippi

Yup, remember how defensive George and Ted got when they were asked about the contract status of Pace and Nagy?

Couldn't answer really simple questions.

It's the only explanation that makes any logical sense, this looks more like a tank job to get a top QB in 2022. However, it is incredible to think that George would actually allow Pace to tear down the bad roster that Pace himself has created and give him a chance to build a roster from scratch when Pace has proven repeatedly he is incapable of identifying QB talent.

The Bears may be the only team to not allow fans in not due to Covid, but because they afraid of the fans negative reaction on game day.

How embarrassing for the Bears. They offered 1 year/12 million. This off-season is a complete train wreck.

George doesn't know any better. Pace has him snowed. And I'm sure the last thing George wants to do now is try and figure out how to hire another GM. Only way that scenario plays out is a horrible season and/or big time no shows on Sunday.

It's pretty obvious now why they didn't hire Ballard.

They are a joke.

Yeah, the guy who built a great o-line and is way under the cap? I'd take him and Wentz over Goober and the Red Rifle.

It hasn't been uttered publicly, but the Bears are in a rebuild. No rebuilding team needs huge long-term contracts with WR's.

Only the Bears would allow the guy responsible for the rebuild to be in charge of the next rebuild.

Looks like Fuller will be reuniting with Vic Fangio in Denver. Good move.

Can we just consider the possibility that Andy Dalton will be much better than people expect and the offense will improve next year? Not sure how you can do worse than the Mitch/Foles combo. That being said, I just checked his playoff stats when he was with Cincy and man, he was awful.

I think people went over board with the Andy Dalton is the same as Nick Foles stuff. He’s not that bad, and likely an upgrade in terms of consistency over anything they’ve had in a while.

But to your point re: playoffs at the peak of his powers...he’s not going to win them games. Maybe he won’t lose them as spectacularly, but it feels a bit like replacing Cutler with Kyle Orton. And when the alternative seemed to be Russell Wilson - even if it was never in play - it’s a giant let down.

Wentz will do well in Indy, Ballard didn't get the Bear job because he said " Day one, Cutler is cut..I don't want him on my team" he was right, ofcourse the inept clowns at Halas hall blew that hire too.

Ballard is a great GM.

Ballard’s done a nice job until now but the Wentz move killed all the goodwill he built up. Wentz is cooked and that will set Indy back years.

They went in on Wentz, but, unless they're trading up in the draft, who else are they adding to a team built to win now? Fitzpatrick could have been an option, but they'd been looking at the same options Chicago was. At least Wentz has a good history with Reich, but there will likely be comparisons with their decision to not go after Stafford.

Pace focused on Golloday and let Corey Davis, another Chicago guy who probably would have jumped at the chance to come home, sign with the Jets on a cheap deal. He would have been a perfect complement to Robinson.

There were a number of good WR signing cheap deals. The play probably should have been to let Robinson walk, sign two good WR for his money and collect the comp pick. He isn't very good at reading developing markets

Corey Davis has been a big disappointment in the NFL so far.

How much more do the bears need to invest into the WR position? Robinson is solid, Mooney had a very good rookie season, Kmet should be used more in the passing game (I’d hope).

I don’t see the logic in throwing a ton of money at another WR for this team.

When you are bringing in a rookie quarterback it is best to give him as many weapons as possible. None of us know how good Mooney or Kmet will be.

Did they really go after Golladay? That offer was embarrassing.

Do you try to sign Watkins or address WR in the draft? I feel like the covid combine could be a blessing to teams with a great scouting department.

As an ND fan, I have Kmet as a combo of Gronk, Kelce and Tony Gonzalez.

Who is the 3rd QB in this scenario?

Some undrafted free agent. You don’t need another veteran when you have 12 quarterback coaches.
