You raise another issue. In some cases we may not know which party was raped and which was the rapist.

And I get the feeling that a lot of people who otherwise insist men and women are the same will somehow find a way to draw distinction in such cases.

People are in here acting like there's an epidemic of dudes/ladies rotting in prison because they hooked up with someone after getting drunk at a frat party.

I suppose people love discussing these kinds of cases because they get to apply black/white logic to something that is clearly a gray area.

There are plenty of them that have been kicked out of college though.

Anyway, personally I believe that the man does bear more responsibility in such situations. And I have always conducted myself accordingly. But that's an old-fashioned viewpoint. And it kind of breaks down when sex or gender is "fluid" or no longer exists or when we insist that men and women are the same in all circumstances EXCEPT when it comes to drunken hook-ups.

This always made for an uncomfortable conversation in college. I took the position if you charge one in a drunken hookup you almost have to charge both (I'm not talking the passed out here, I'm talking the "I would never of done that sober" position). It was not a popular position and one I never found myself in as up until well after college I was a very mild drinker.

Planning to move to Minnesota now.
