Pace is getting ready to launch another guy he traded up in the draft to acquire? What a surprise.

What can he realistically get for him?

A 7th round pick?

what's the market for an undersized slot WR who has had a few good games over the course of 3 years and will be 27 in october? .... yah no market. would be shocked if they got a 6th for him. and since his salary is so cheap it almost doesnt make sense to cut him

Thinking the order to trade Miller is coming from above Pace. Pace/Nagy have kept trotting him out there for years even though he apparently cannot learn the offense. Found it interesting that the biggest play he made last year was when Foles told him to run to a certain spot on the field in Atlanta.

Miller is really the epitome of Nagy's failure as a coach, he's just not good at developing skill position players, Mitch, Miller, Shaheen, will be interesting to see if these guys have success elsewhere.

The fact that Mitch was unable to get anything other than a low level backup contract should embarrass the organization that thought they were smarter than the rest of the league.

I don't think (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky signing a cheap deal in the first week of free agency means what you think it means. I think he and his reps saw there were no starting jobs available and no attractive jobs to compete for so he went to the organization that developed a raw quarterback who has a similar skill set. IF Buffalo helps him put it together thay will be a major indictment of Nagy.

Mitch went to the team that offered him a contract. There weren't any other factors.

Multiple teams had their chance to sign him. If he had a pulse as a potential starter, someone would have signed him. He will take the baton from Chase Daniel as a career backup.

He won't last that long, he is pretty dumb. If anything happens to Allen their season is over, That offense is all passing no runs and mostly downfield throws.

Skillset similar? I don't see it. Huge arm and can run the ball vs Mitch?

He took the Bridgewater option. Be a backup for a year or two and get a big deal. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky will be a starter again. Probably not this year.

One thing I know for sure is (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky for years will make more coin than many of us combined.

Mitch will not ever get a "big deal". And he might be a starter on a team where the current starter fails miserably.

Bridgewater option

Yeah, he took a 1 year deal like Teddy for one third of what Teddy took. I asked you mitch apologists this a few months back.. What team will want him? A new crop of QBs are about to come into the league and fill up roster spots.

He's now a lifetime backup QB. I'm not sure how this is even a debatable issue.

The only way he gets a starting job is if the guy in front of him gets a bad injury or can't perform.

Set the over/under on career starts for (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky going forward.

Buffalo gave him a chance to be a backup and reform his career. I predict (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky starts at least 10 more NFL games. You think I'm wrong?

He should have been. He stuck with Cam though. We'll see if the Pats can actually throw the ball this year.

Don't like the idea of trading up for a QB because it's going to cost a ton of future draft capital, warming up to taking a QB in 2nd or 3rd round.

Still think OT is the primary need in 1st, especially because both of the QB's currently on the roster are immobile and will need a strong running game to survive.

I don't see the point of drafting a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round. It's a very large probability that this QB will not ever be more than a backup in the league.

OT/WR is very deep in the draft and also their largest needs along with QB, CB, S and edge.

I do lean towards OL. They aren't far away from having a very good line. It's already looking to be a very good interior, but the OT needs improvement. WR is also important here with Robinson on a 1 year deal and very little behind him and Mooney. If they were to an OL who can play on Day 1, and who isn't a bust, this line is close to being top 10 in the league. With a strong running game and protection for the Red Rocket, I think this is their best path to having a season that saves Pace/Nagy.

i think you trade up and give up whatever you have to get there. if you have an exciting quarterback you will have packed stadiums and great ratings. and if hes good you can start building the championship team as hes hitting his prime.

at least (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky didnt hurt the team too bad. a lot of fans liked him even though they knew he sucked. getting comical feedback about dalton. the moment he loses a game there will be bloodshed.

BRick, just saw your response to me. 10 was the exact number I was going to say. Now if he starts 10 games the rest of his career does that not qualify him as a backup?
