The worst one was taking $250m from 95-yr old Carl Shapiro as the scheme was unraveling. And then Madoff had the balls to pay $170m in bonuses to staff right before it was shut down.

I really don't know how Madoff slept at night, knowing how much he was stealing and how it could come crashing down at any time due to either redemptions or someone at the firm ratting him out.

Shouldn't this thread be in the Douchebag of the Week section? I'm not too interested in seeing Bernie Madoff rest in peace.

I saw both the ABC made-for-tv movie with Richard Dreyfuss playing Madoff and the HBO movie with Robert Deniro playing Madoff, and I actually thought the ABC version was quite a bit better.
