I would. They both suck.

Teddy Bridgewater sucks more. A lot more.

Yeaaaaaah, I dunno about that man. Bridgewater isn't great but he's not a loser. Dalton is a loser.

Dalton has won more in his career then Bridgewater has.

He has a stronger arm as well.

But, I think we are both left hoping that Dalton doesn't suck more though.

Mike Zimmer loved Teddy. He'd still be the Vikings QB if not for the non-contact knee injuries that almost ended his career. Good leader, good teammate, Not a great arm though...he's a slightly better version of Kyle Orton.

And that is a problem that Dalton doesn't have.

The Bears tried to give him more money to compete against (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. Matt Nagy shouldn't be allowed to make QB decisions.

Their owner is a typical wall street guy who reacts wildly to everything he doesn't like. He does things confusing activity with accomplishment.

He gave his coach a 7 year deal. Bridgewater just isn't a good quarterback. They made a mistake and now they're trying to fix it.

His coach has no pro experience and just had success in lesser college programs. Bridgewater is a limited quarterback who lost his main weapon and his main receiver has skills that he can't exploit. Hell, firing Rivera wss a mistake.

Clear sign of a guy who doesn't closely follow Bears football. Nagy is arguably the #1 problem with the Bears.

They realized they made a mistake and tried to correct it, not like the Bears that kept doubling down on a loser hand.

A depressing dose of reality, the fact is that George seems incapable of running an NFL franchise, he desperately needs to get rid of Phillips and bring in a football guy to run his franchise, the problem is that the rest of the world sees this and he does not.

Pace has to be #1. Had he not so repeatedly fucked up the most important position, the bears would be in a much different spot today. Ownership blows to the extent they allow him to remain employed.

I don’t hate Nagy all that much but he’s been solidly below average since his first season. Play calling sucked before he gave it up, game plans sucked, handling of the Foles/(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky situation sucked...

As has been discussed here many times, there are two guys that are consistently in the room when the new coach/GM's are hired, hence they are the two primary hiring decision makers, their names are George and Ted.

The funny thing is that you would think that by blind luck they would stumble into a quality GM or Coach given the amount of chances they have had, but it seems they continue to make the wrong decision, making it abundantly clear that the top decision makers need to be changed and George isn't going anywhere.

Making myself more depressed the more I think about the sorry future of the beloved.

Nagy took over a roster that could have won a Super Bowl and pissed it away with his inexperience and stubbornness. Literally no offensive player has improved under his leadership and Allen Robinson is the only player who didn't regress. He pushed Pace to give Bridgewater $20M a year and Bridgewater sucks as a starter. When Bridgewater signed with the Panthers, Nagy pushed Pace to trade a 4th round pick for Foles AWFUL contract. Now, Nagy pushed Pace to sign a guy -who wasn't better than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky or Foles last season- for 5 times the money he made in 2020 and gave him the job with no competition.

It always starts at the top, Phillips never should have been hired.. Pace, Nagy and so on. It all starts with ownership.

Hub on R & G grading Pace.

If you eliminate those two decisions. The move up from 3 to 2, and the selection of Mitch over DeShaun Watson. He's not the disaster a lot of fans want to paint him as.

Every GM in the league would still take Watson over a backup. That Quinn signing is a firable offense.

Really cannot take any of Hub's thoughts on the Bears or the NFL seriously. Too bad because the angry Hub you got for a few years after he was launched from the teams broadcast booth would give you some pretty accurate information on the team.

#1 white guy at the time

these people talk like bafoons. imagine what bill bellichick would have said at the time in that same situation. "well he hasnt played a game yet in the nfl, so we will see what happens". done. thats the answer the fans want to see.

Something I heard on a podcast today that probably isn't a coincidence, the Saints have been significantly better at drafting ever since Ryan Pace left them as the head scout.

Iirc he was the director of pro scouting, which blew, but had to be in the draft room as well. Which was a problem his last few years there.
