not much time to do any reading

  I still can't believe this dude parading books in front of cameras. He was basically begging a reporter to ask him about the Malcolm X autobiography and he comes up with that stuttering and stammering. If he wants that bookworm image but doesn't truly want to read, take the smart shortcut and read 5-10 pages from a chapter so you have an easier time professionally bullshitting when asked about a book.

It was a compliment. I was implying that you sometimes make good points. You didn't in the Chauvin thread but you have other times.

I’d agree, but I haven’t seen much/any commentary that Chauvin was in the right. Even from other cops & law enforcement blogs.

I’ve seen plenty of Manslaughter/Murder 3 v. Murder 2 stuff, but even that concedes the point that Chauvin was guilty of a crime.

This one? Do you see an apology or regretful sentiment anywhere in here?

And what justice in this case does he want to prevail ? He thinks the cop was wrong and needs to be punished . If after whatever investigation is conducted exonerates the cop, you think he'll feel that was justice even though thats exactly what justice is ?

It seems to me that when the body cam footage was revealed, most reasonable people have agreed that the officer was properly doing his job. At least the first shot.

Yeah. Anyone who is criticizing the cop still is as far gone as those who think Chauvin did nothing wrong

See! I was right! That's a good non-prediction.

At the risk of exacerbating this I dont think thats true but lets hope that sentiment prevails.

when i was getting ready for work this morning the Cosby Show episode where Theo and Cockroach don't read Macbeth was on...when they finally end up reading the "Cleland Notes" version to pass the test. That's what Lebron should do, assuming those still exist.

LeBron could pay some broad $10,000 to read the book and then explain it to him while he snorts coke off their tits.

It seems like he already got the stripper notes version based on the posted interview.

Like Rodney Dangerfield's book review of The Great Gatsby.

Malcom was a simple country boy. You might say a cockeyed optimist, who got himself mixed up in the high stakes game of world diplomacy and international intrigue.

Or go on the internet and read somebody else's review. Something.

The real way to be knowledgeable about a book without reading it is to just read the first and last page of each chapter. It's pretty easy to guess most of the rest of the book. It's like watching the beginning and end of a movie. Reese Witherspoon got her heart broken. Something happens for an hour. Reese Witherspoon found love. The middle is she met some guy, who was out of her comfort zone, she talked to him as a joke, they started to like each other, she did something terrible like call him a hillbilly, and then she showed up wearing cowboy boots to say sorry and now they are engaged. Except, you get to do it for every chapter of the book to know how Reese Witherspoon found love. Replace Reese Witherspoon with The Great Gatsby, or the guy who killed his classmate by shaking a tree, or Teddy Roosevelt shooting species that are now endangered, probably because he kept shooting them.

This. Which he can backpedal all he wants. Once he saw footage, he realized he was WRONG and removed the twat.

His entire career is repeating things Dan Bernstein said in 2002. Chicago is basketball stupid.
