He’s not good.

MANY don’t realize how terrible the Big Ten is outside of Ohio State.

It’s a terrible conference.

Pace purposely picked a black QB so that guy who keeps calling The Score accusing him of being a bigot will lay off.

Have fun with faster Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.

Dude is a one read spread QB like Mitch.

I don’t understand why so MANY here love this pick.

Did you hear that clip on the score of the Giants GM saying he tries to trade down for more picks but no one ever gives him enough to make it worth it. LOL

I wouldn't be shocked if Fields is not very good but you can't just ignore the position and put guys in wheelchairs back there.

You gotta keep picking it until you get somebody. He's the best of what's left. Is it worth another year of no development at QB to keep your #1 next year and hope you get something?

They can still get 2 key pieces for this year and maybe you get lucky and Fields develops.

Now, if they reach on their R2 and R3, forget everything I just said.

Against mediocre competition with a roster of teammates who will also play on Sundays in an offensive system that has produced one ok NFL QB (Alex Smith) in 20 years?

Fields, for all his agility and elusiveness on the run, was sacked an alarming 56 times in his college career while attempting 618 passes — or once every 12.0 pass plays.

NFL Films producer Greg Cosell said on 49ers Talk there’s a simple explanation.

“More often than not, quarterbacks that move get sacked more,” Cosell said. “The offensive line pass protects based on the play call.

“Quarterbacks who have always been able to make plays with their legs tend to move prematurely. And when you move prematurely, you yourself disrupt and blow apart the pass protection call, and you will often get sacked more than quarterbacks who don’t move.”

Look at his two years yards/tds/int. He is not Mitch.

Given the cap situation, how do they sign this guy without cutting foles and dalton?

All his teammates were future NFL players.

Offensive tackle was the biggest need this year.

Not QB.

This is a desperate move by a couple of guys who know they won’t be employed by the Bears next year.

I think the only question that remains is when the Packers trade Rodgers this week, do the Bears have the two best QBs in the division?

6 TDs against Clemson; one with crushed ribs.

I just realized Roger Goodell sounds like Jeff Ross except sober and completely unfunny.

Clemson’s defense was terrible last year, and Ohio State’s offense was full of NFL caliber players.

It was desperate but that doesn’t make it bad. The guy was an absolute monster against Clemson.

Reminded me of Watson’s performances v Bama.
