Report: Shawn Michaels Suffers Injury At RAW Tapings
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posted on September 01 2008 | WWE News | Send news: News@24Wrestling.com
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have just received word that Shawn Michaels was injured at last night's RAW tapings. The word making the rounds backstage during the tapings was that HBK tore his triceps during a scuffle with Chris Jericho.

Stay tuned to 24Wrestling.com for more on this as we get it.

If that's true, that fucking sucks. It also officially makes Unforgiven Unwatchable.

HBK-Y2J was the best feud WWE had going. HBK always comes up big at PPV's (dragging a 50 year old to an awesome match at Wrestlemania was amazing) and finally Jericho is a heel after wasting his return as a face. They actually let the feud build and not waste it after a single PPV while they played to the strengths of the two guys and it was believable. Compare that with Cena hitting the eternal #1 contender by accident a week or 2 before Summerslam and then calling that a feud. Way to sell two of your biggest stars. For what it's worth Meltzer says he still plans on wrestling at the PPV. IIRC Undertaker wrestled after he tore his to allow Edge to cash in the Money in the Bank last year.

Chas, don't let your Shawn Michaels hatred cloud your judgment. Like him or not, Shawn is one of the greatest performers in the history of the business.

And one of the greatest performers they have right now. Ideally there would be quite a lot more current superstars who are able to put on as good a performance as Sean at this point, but whether it be injuries or lack of development, they don't.

Are you for real ?You drink wayyyy too much Vince Koolaide. He is good ,I admit .One of the greatest ever come on He is in my top 25 #23 just because he was big at a time when the buisness needed him .If you go based on what he did as champ ,asses in seats then no he is way down .He got lucky that him and his buddies where only thing round at a dead time .He got real lucky that one of his best friends knocked up the owners daughter.
an I am being honest in that I think he cracks the top 25 .you want to see great preformers go watch old NWa ,AWA and the rest he could not hold Steamboats jock on his best day .
Here is a mark of a great one ,Is he willing to put others over .In Shawns case no ,not only no but hell no.Heck He won't make the hall of fame until he dies .Not the Fake WWE one but the real one .

Ohh and true its sad that he is the best they have right now .
What they should do is put 2 guys against one another that would eb a good program
Jerico Vs Punk. Now that would be interesting .

#23?

Who are your top 25?

I think Michaels is clearly in the top 10 all time.

Remember RDFC, this is the same blowhard who in the MJH section thinks that make is "showing his disdain" for us by not posting in a thread that called his son a retard.

What the hell has happened to this board?

He did put Hogan's crippled ass over a few years ago. Sure, he came out and bitched about it the next night, but he did it.

Top 10 all time easy.

If you consider overselling to be putting over, then yes...

I'm not saying it was a good match (it wasn't). I'm just sayin' it was HBK's shoulders that were down for the 3 count.

I would also argue that he played an integral role in making Austin a star by dropping the strap to him at WM.

You're an idiot if you have Hogan number 2. He is a terrible wrestler, always has been. Also, is it really too much to ask for you to post coherently? Spelling more than 5 words correctly and using space bar every once in awhile.

Sorry I did not catch the spelling .I will try harder .
And No wrestler wise he isn't #2 .I was talking performers ,Guys who put on a show and got my attention.I stated that sorry if you are too much of a grammar/English dick /slob to read and understand .
I do not like Hogan as a wrestler or as much of a performer lately but in his heyday he was wrestling for a generation .
So did I state my rating system for you on this or do I need to diagram the sentence for you ?
I am trying not to piss people off or rip on anyone ,gave that up a couple weeks ago.As I said it is a talk about performers ,not wrestlers . please calm down with the name calling ,whats your list as you are such an expert.I am having a conversation not a pissing contest .
Thank you

Lord knows I make a spelling mistake or punctuation error every now and again, but the whole space before the period thing is starting to freak me out. Your two more posts away from being reported as a spam-bot to bigfan.

Wait a second... crazy rants, incoherent posts...That's it!!!

I would put Michaels in at 4, push Austin down to 5 and put Michael PS Hayes down, way down. Also, I ain't too sure about the Road Warriors in the top 10 either.

Flair is a clear #1. I have never been a Hogan fan, can't stand him. However, you can't argue the fact that he was wrestling for a long time for many people. So I think you have to put him at 2 no matter whether you like him or not.

Like I said , if it was wrestling ability and not entertainment then it would be a totally different list.
Well Albert you said my putting Hogan at #2 made me a moron ,so I am asking you to tell me your top 10 .If you then say you have no knowledge of the subject then I expect an apology .I take the spelling and other stuff as a man and continually try to fix my problems .
Are you all upset that I do not put a space after the period or that I do ? I run spell check and leave it as they put it so sorry .
Michaels does not do it for me seriously. When he first burst on the scene I looked at him and went ,burrito.
I have a friend who is a Pro wrestler and I have met a few guys thru him and from what I have been told about Shawn, he is .
That is not why I don't like him ,I find no charisma to him .Look at now .This program with Jerico could push Jerico to Heel heaven ,wanna bet Shawn crushes him Sunday and it ends there ?

Here's my 10. Remember gang, strictly my opinion. Not saying it's a definitive list:

1.Ric Flair (my all time favorite)
2.Hulk Hogan (made wrestling what it is today)
3.Undertaker (best character ever)
4.Shawn Michaels (could carry a broom stick to a good match)
5.Stone Cold Steve Austin (and that's the bottom line)
6.Ricky Steamboat (one of the best technical wrestlers)
7.Eddy Guerrero (R.I.P)
8.Chris Benoit (yeah, I know)
9.Barry Windham (very underrated IMO0
10.Kurt Angle (just a flat out stud)

It's easy to shit on Hogan for the way he went out, but I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss him from any top 10 list. I mean there's a reason the Skydome roof blew off at X8. I was watching it at Shark City in Glendale Heights and, just like the live crowd, it went from a 50/50 split to everybody yelling at the top of their lungs for Hogan except for some kids who didn't know him as anything but the guy from the NWO. You can say he certainly wasn't a consistent performer and a backstage disaster, but I don't there are too many other wrestlers that could provide a single moment or match like that aside from the guy he was in the ring with.

I agree. He was the top for a reason.Plus Hogan would do the right thing for the good of the company until last couple of years in WCW .Remember It was his Idea to put Goldberg over at the Georgia dome .He knew the money would coem in,to him that was #1 unlike the Clique

Hogan displayed some good skill when he was wrestling in Japan.
