I don't think I've ever heard someone say that. Downstate summer staple. This is surprising.

I could do it right now. I have everything required I believe.

I have some tremendous craft brew root beers from Point brewing.

I have ice cream. I think much of it is Asian-inspired Matcha-type stuff that may derail the plan but I’m sure I could scrounge up some semblance of vanilla.

What else is required? Feels like a prime WHAT ARE WE DRINKIN’ candidate.

I know I am a mess but I want to bike to bars. Need input from the board.

For reference I am really in bad shape, imagine a MASH patient wanting to bike around and drink...

Not sure, OP, if this is what you mean but last time I was down at UofI for Dr. Ken Jr. I, they had one of those bike bars that looks like a trolley car around a bar where everyone pedals and drinks.

Kids are weird. Seemed like too much work.

You pedaling while doing shots will not impact climate change. Just get drunk. Stop thinking about stuff.

When I was out in Iowa a few years back it’s apparently a thing that bars are catering too. Had a bike rack up front and apparently the local cycling club comes in weekly on their group ride and then there are a few events a year sling an old closed rail line that’s been turned into a prairie path type thing that folks like. I imagine I’d end up puking my guts out and I’m coming up on 24 years since the last time experienced that so I’ll pass on drink and bikes like I pass on drunken 5ks.

I too am surprised that doc never had a float. Maybe he went black cow instead down at the old malt shop to wet his whistle.

Our hometown bars catered to bicycle riders as well.

But that was just because guys had their license suspended from drinking. You knew John was on a DUI when you saw him on his bike headed down Main Street on Saturday afternoon.

Never had a black cow either. Not even sure what that is.

Black cow is a root beer float that's blended like a shake.

It can also be a coke float depending on where you are. There is an orange pop based one as well. Our drunks prefer lawnmowers from the 70’s as their get around town vehicles. Still can get a dui on either btw. Occasionally you’ll even see an old farmall or IH 1066 in front of a bar.

You definitely might be on to something there...I’d partake.

Division - what is your Houston neighborhood?

I’m in Westchase. Just north of Royal Oaks Country Club.

Intersection of major roads please.

Sunset/Shepherd here.

Looks like you're a few blocks north of Rice University? I was just at El Meson last weekend for dinner.

Looks like you could bike to Baileson Brewing from your house, assuming I got the area right. And if you go down Kirby, or up, I guess, you would find some places there, I am sure.
