Seems like somebody screwed that up. Great deal on the Toppling. Love their stuff for the most part.

9.99 for King Sue would be a great deal in New England. It's usually about 15.99/4 pack in these parts.

Not really worth it for that price. I haven't purchased any of late since I always buy the same stuff from MKE but my
guess is a 4 pack around here should retail for $11.99. I've pigeon holed myself into Hop Freak 16oz 4 packs for $8.99. I
love it.

I've never had Hop Freak. Sounds like a good beer.

https://mkebrewing.com/beer/hop-freak/

8.7 ABV, DIPA infused with Jasmine Tea. I don't think it would be for everyone but it scratches my itch just right.
MKE is a pretty solid micro brew for the Milwaukee area, solid selection and not crazy prices.

Almost anything by Sierra Nevada is a good drink

Costco has a Sierra Nevada 24 12 oz can mixed pack with 12 Hazy Little Thing, 6 Wild Little Thing (Sour IPA) and 6 Fantastic Haze (DIPA) for $28. It's a nice deal for those who are over the $15.99+ for 4 16oz cans. Gets you 80% of the pricey beers at less than 50% of the cost

I like the Hazy Little Thing and Fantastic Haze...not so much on the Wild Little Thing

I'm driving down to Springfield on Friday to get my covid shot and take care of another errand. Anybody got a suggestion for a good brewery off of I-55 that's pretty good and would be worth my time to stop and grab some beer to go?

There is a spot in Bloomington called Little Beaver Brewery. They have a great set-up, and a very nice taproom. It's not far from the highway. If you have time in Springfield check out the Dana Thomas house. It's a great tour that only takes about an hour. Frank Lloyd Wright was an innovator.

Lil Beaver for sure. Destihl is close to 55. Great food, beer is forgettable, though. I’ll be there Friday!

The beer is consistently terrible. And they specialize in sours.

Correct. Food is great though. Fried asparagus and the Thai fried rice bowl.

No complaints on the food. I've had the Thai chicken it's good. Good brunch as well. They had some decent whiskies on the menu so easy to skip the beer.

I like their lagers, their NEIPAs are overly sweet.

I have a good friend that lives there I’ll have to ask him if he’s been. He likes Roaring Table a lot but I’ve not been there either. I believe we have a trip planned down there in June.

im a fan of blue moon but i saw they have a new light beer version of it called blue moon light sky.

got it yesterday - it does not come in a bottle but skinny sized cans.

tried it and man it sort of sucked. First drinking it out of a can sucks. I did pour it into a beer glass but still, not very good.

the smell is great, like tangerine , and i love tangerines, but it just doesn't have much in it. I prefer the regular blue moon.

I was in Edgerton, WI last Fri. at the river home on the Rock River. We went out to eat at a place called Buckhorn Supper Club in Milton, which is right on Lake Koshkonong. Nice place, if not expensive, but the food was good. On the menu was Buckhorn Ale, which I ordered. It's made by the Grey Brewery in nearby Janesville and only is made for restaurants. It was truly excellent for a Irish brown ale. I'd give it a 10. Liked the taste better than even Guiness.

If anyone happens to be up in that area, I'd definitely recommend it.

Roaring Table is very hit or miss to me. Right down the street from there is a bar called Consume...multiple terrific beers on tap that rotate regularly. Flesk Brewing in downtown Barrington is like 10 minutes from there. Really good every time I've had it. Also, venture East to Tighthead in Mundelein. Light the Lamp in Grayslake is pretty good, too...I would say drink there, and don't get the food...park and walk over to Emil's like 2 blocks away.

I’m in your neck of the woods, TM. Hit up Tree House today. That’s a destination brewery. What a beautiful setup. Heading to Night Shift and Trillium tomorrow!

Does Tree House do the Riwaka, Sabro, and Nelson Sauvin combo better than anyone else?

I never can tell if you’re being serious or sarcastic. Sabro tastes like sunscreen to me, so I typically stray away from those beers.

I say its a fair assessment that half my posts are unserious.

Now that hazies have made their way west I can't help but wonder if the east coast hype is real.

I would say ours stack up to the east coast stuff. Though the Midwest version is a tad sweeter. I visited Trillium last night. Have you had Hidden Hand out of Naperville? They’re relatively née but make too notch IPAs from the couple I’ve had.

I like the food, as well, but they're on "contactless ordering" through your phone. Defeats the entire purpose of going out to eat. I'll return when they go back to a person taking my order like a normal establishment.

Tree House is still on a level of their own. Trillium has gone down hill. I brought back an embarrassing amount of east coast hops. No regrets, except for not buying more King Julius.

Whats good from two floyds. They are starting to carry it here.
I am really getting sick of IPA. Never thought I would say that, but I am. I would kill for a decent Stout or Porter.
Other thing that pisses me off is flavors. I want beer flavored beer, not cherry not chocolate. About the only ones I tolerate are when they age them in barrels. Kentucky something has a vanilla that is awesome. Another thing, I know you fucking people are raised on American piss water. Not all beers are to be served ice cold. Actually the higher the Alcohol content the closer to room temp beer is to be served.
