That's an interesting post from someone who apparently can't restrain himself from following me all over the board making snarky comments. Perhaps I'm not the one who requires treatment.
Anyway, I'll try to explain it to you like you're a two year old. You- or if not you, certainly some people on this board and MANY, MANY people in American society- have an idea that Ron DeSantis fudged the COVID numbers in Florida. Many of the people who have that idea are not on Twitter. But how did they get such an idea? It didn't organically pop into all of their heads. What happened is Rebekah Jones, who no one would likely have ever heard of without the existence of social media, made some phony allegations and used Twitter to amplify them. Legacy media, eager to discredit a Republican governor who they hold in utter contempt, picked up the story and ran with it.
I'll say again, if you think Twitter isn't influencing your thoughts and opinions, you're kidding yourself. What you're saying is as dumb as saying "advertising doesn't work on me."
