Happy 80th today Bob. I know many here are not fans of the music. I agree that he probably should just hang it up as far as touring goes, but he is still churning out decent music which is what he loves to do. More power to him. He's given me hours and hours of joy listening to both his earlier live and studio albums.

I know, nobody cares...but my guy Ike Reilly did a Dylan tribute set yesterday. It was good.

He's helped me appreciate Dylan a lot more than I used to. That new album is really impressive.

The only fair response.

Agreed with the shoutout of course. He’s the GOAT for a reason. Haters always gonna hate

When I hear Bob Dylan I think of The Emporium scene in Dazed and Confused.

In terms of American music, he's so far ahead that he's lapped the field.

The more interesting question is who's in second place among American songwriters?

Tom Waits is a good call. I'd also put Steve Earle and Jeff Tweedy up for consideration. Bruce Springsteen and Brian Wilson inevitably get included in these types of conversations as well.
