No one in this thread is claiming that LTG or B-Mac didn't dish it out or even try to avoid conflicts. LTG definitely wanted all the smoke. There however was a fundamental difference in the way this community responded to LTG and B-Mac in comparison to the rest of us.

B-Mac got banned and nuked because he annoyed a Wisemen. He literally got banned one day for something that someone else did. When it was pointed out that another poster did that "ban worthy" thing, B-Mac was reinstated, but that other poster never got banned. I annoy both Wisemen intentionally and unintentionally, but I'm confident that I won't get banned for it.

Annoying someone has always been a valued feature of this community. No one has ever come close to effectively getting under my skin the way JLN did at one point. I wanted to break his jaw, but I could only tip my virtual cap to him.

LTG got every word he would post dissected by a clique of people so they could attack everything about him for sport and place countless labels on him. That has never happened to any other poster in this community in the nearly 17 years that I've been around.

A lot of people claim that LTG and JLN have a similar posting style. I can't recall a bipartisan gang ever going after JLN once the way LTG was attacked daily. Even the overtly racist and morally bankrupt chas never came close to getting attacked the way LTG did.

Outside of attacking B-Mac and LTG, I think everything here is based on political tribalism. The Trump Cult will generally defend or give their members a pass for ignorant posts. Same is true for the Bernie Gang. People outside those groups will generally do the same. Even the sports teams you root for take a backseat to these alliances. That's sad.

It’s to be expected. To your point, I enjoy JLN because I agree with him more often than not. I’m not going to go out of my way to dogpile him about lawyerin’ for that reason.

I enjoyed LTG because I disagreed with him and he was always dialed to 11. I just think it’s odd people act like he was a victim or something when he was always looking for a fight. I’d assume he’d even agree with that (...provided I said the opposite, so that he could argue with me).

LTG wanted ALL the smoke, and when there was none he started his own fires with threads about Mike and JLN. Literally two dozen threads about those two.

He started as many fires as he could, then when the heat got too much he played the victim card and ran away. Maybe if he stuck to sports he would be a great poster, but we'll never know because he was a complete douche otherwise.

His only being able to post at one speed made his posts interesting but also obviously got old quick. Also posters repeatedly replying to each other in different threads is annoying as shit and that was one of his defining characteristics. It takes 2 to tango though, and those that repeatedly engaged him just to argue with him, even if they didn’t really care about the topic, have equal blame.

I don't know how anyone can enjoy getting involved in angry, bitter, and personal arguments on a regular basis. Yet many here, including LTG, seem to do just that. He might be wired differently than I am, but if I were him, I would be completely and totally exhausted.

LTG lit fires everywhere he went, but would also be a good poster and if he ever figured out you weren't antagonizing him....was fine. JLN's sole existence on the board was to antagonize LTG, which was tiresome and ignore-worthy. B-Mac.....nobody even knows where his head was at but both JLN and B-Mac got plenty of heat by most on the board and very few took them seriously.

It is sad, as I wish LTG was with us. I'm perfectly fine with JLN and B-Mac being gone....or simply not posting. THAT's the difference.

Yes, LTG got ganged up on and got a bit ridiculous, but most that remain here can acknowledge he was a valued poster when he wanted to let the guard down.

What i line of bull. By the way this is LTG and they can feel free to reopen the account if they so choose. They can also feel free to delete this post and account if they so choose. Those "attack" threads were a reaction to the frequent attacks made by both against me. Pittmike's weekly, Drunken Friday Night at the boards was essentially a rant against me. JLN was one of the biggest purveyors of the pile on crap that became an endemic part of this board.

Both lobbied incessantly to have me banned well before I ever made an attack thread about them.

Because you are a simple man with a rather simple mind you refused to see any of that.

As far as "wanting the smoke" you are wrong about that as well. I tried to establish a detente with JLN and guys like you on numerous occasions by offering to not respond to any of your posts as long as you didn't respond to mine.

Both of you refused. I might have offered it to Pittmike as well. Can't remember. Why? Because each of you knew that you wouldn't be able to hold up your end of the deal.

In conclusion, while you may fallaciously believe that you are part of the solution Frank you really aren't. If you were then this board wouldn't be hemorrhaging posters at an alarming rate.

I have been out for the most part since Sept Oct of last year and it still hasn't stopped the mass exodus of others out the door. Outside of your beloved Darko no one else checks in to read your stalking of posters and incessant Cub trolling.
