If this project hits there be a plan. 290 will officially be extended to Northwest highway, they will buy up land and for parking you essentially be directed on and off to 290 from the lot.

Football traffic is also different. People arrive very early and leave late so traffic gets spread out for most games. Leaving a night game will be the problem but the roads are otherwise empty at night.

I'm not saying a lack of road infrastructure is a reason to pass up on a new stadium, but saying, "30K people go there three times a year anyway," as a dumbass feeble attempt to explain that current roads and exits will work fine is ridiculous. There will be tons of traffic at the Arlington site if the Bears build a new home there. It will suck. There is a ton of traffic downtown and it sucks now for Bears games.

The point, city planner Bob, is that 30K a few times a year, "A ton of traffic," is lot different than parking and traffic for a 70K (at least) seat stadium.

A delta of 15-20K(factoring at least 2-3 people in a vehicle) extra vehicles, spaced out over couple of hours isn't that BIG of deal. I know it's hard for you to fathom so sit this one out.

I think they’d have to stop east bound postgame traffic on Euclid and somehow direct up & down Wilke to Palatine or Central.

I think they just need to find some way to turn the traffic pattern into a viable grid for eastbound commuters. It’ll be a pain in the ass for people on the north shore but still significantly better than commuting to the lakefront.
