I view most of you as avatars of your avatars. So my impression is that you’re in good enough shape...then I read posts about exercising to stave off death.

How many people have waist bands that start south of 4 or don’t have an X in their shirt size?

210-215. But I'm taller which helps. I have an X in my shirt size.

That fat, eh?

What girth mumu do you pay people to strap around your torso?

Interesting time for this to come up. Weighed myself last weekend for the first time in years cuz I knew I was dropping weight. 222 lbs. First time in almost a decade I was below 230 I think. I’m 6’3” so to clarify I’m a tall fat person not a short fat person.

36 waist. 28 waist in h.s., 32 waist for 20 years after. weigh in at about 190-195. 5'11. good metabolism, that's slowing down. there's always the exception to nutrition/fitness/health. know someone in his mid 60s, got covid last year, after coughing all over me at work for a few days. he's nearly 400 lbs., diabetic, poor circulation. checked into the hospital, we thought he'd never get out. defied dr.s by not wanting to stay in the hospital. called a private ambulance to get him home...took antibiotics for awhile...he's still with us. unbelievable.

Time to cancel Nas. Whiteface is problematic in 2021.

How many ‘Fit men in Tom & Jerry shirt’ images did you cycle through before landing on that one?

I'm about 6-4...my fittest weight is probably around 215-225. Anything under 240 and I probably look pretty good. I haven't been in that range in over 10 years.

Im currently down around 50-60 since Xmas. Down over 100 since my high in 2017.

Even at my fittest, I'll have 2 "X"s and a "T" in my sizing.

Like TM, I want to get fit. I have a 9 and 12 yo...and I'm 55. I want to hang with them in an active way for as long as possible.

This time last year I weighed 264lbs.

I now weight 224lbs.

6’1”, so I don’t look too bad.

Still about 10lbs away from where I want to be.

As far as heart health goes my BP and triglycerides are good, but the doc just put me on a statin because the LDL cholesterol was way too high.

Anyone else here take statins?

I'm exactly at my target weight, but exactly one foot short of my target height.

When I was diagnosed with T 2 in January, my labs were all shit. Besides the diabetes drugs they wanted to stick me on statins. I chose to work on diet first since I know people who have gotten leg pain from taking statins. Took a couple months, but the keto/diabetic diet and exercise knocked my cholesterol levels down into the good range.

too fat to answer. Hoping that after back surgery in a couple weeks I'll be able to start exercising again in the fall and can then lose 30-40 pounds. Haven't been able to exercise since last October. went from hockey 3x per week to zero. Gained 20 pounds since.

What was your LDL level at if you don't mind me asking? I was at 161 a few months ago, total cholesterol at 201. Doctor mentioned statins. I said I have a feeling I can change it by next year eating more fish/salads/chicken and less steak/burgers/eggs.

155. At 5'10", that's a good place to be. I could stand to convert another 10 pounds of fat into muscle but that would take getting some weights which I don't really have room for. Bodyweight exercises have helped tone my arms and shoulders.

My LDLs have been in the 160s since December, and I’ve been putting off the doctor’s recommendation of statins for 7 months now.

Last week my LDL lab results were 177, and the doctor straight up told me I’m putting you on statins.

My weight and Triglycerides keep going down, and BP is doing well with the prescription I have for it.

Just can’t get the cholesterol to balance out.

That's great that everything else is doing well. Did you make any diet changes over the 7 months to try and get the LDL number down?

I completely altered my diet in December, and thought the cholesterol was just going to take a few month to catch up.

Too much 70% dark chocolate, low sodium chips, shredded cheese, and beer are what’s hurting my cholesterol now.

Shouldn’t be too hard to regulate now.
