They picked it up yesterday, but I have seen this before when a star player goes out the players rally! But not for a 3 week period
his bat will be missed sorely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But it's not like this team will go 0-23 from here on out cuz Quentin is gone. I mean, we have other good hitters. Christ, we're 2-1, right now, without Quentin.

I think people are going a little nuts over this. Yes it's a loss. But you should still expect the Sox to win the division.

All I'm saying expect a let down

With Quentin out we'll just have to win games 7-4 instead of 9-4.

This isn't basketball where losing your best player will kill the team. Losing Quentin sucks, but it's not as bad as losing a good starting pitcher, and can be overcome.

Right. I guess my point is we've won games where Quentin went 0-4. Beleive it or not. Plus, the guy replacing Quentin, be it Griffey or Swisher are gonna get hits too. Yesterday for example. Griffey got 2 RBIs in the 1st innings. Plus Dye hit in the 3 spot yesterday and got 3 hits. That's Quentins spot. Who knows? Maybe Quentin goes 0-5 yesterday.

Also, we've won games, this year, where Quentin went 3-5 with 4 RBIs. But we've won some of those games by 10 runs. So we would have won those games without Quentin. Now, we've won 8 or 9 games, mostly early in the year, because of clutch hitting by Quentin. No doubt about that.

Quentin's injury hurts but I still think this is a good line up. Especially with Konerko hitting now.

Twins lose!!! Twins lose!!!!

Blew a 2-run lead in the 8th. Another late inning loss by the Twins. This time they blew it before they could get to Nathan.

Lackey (2.95 Road ERA) is going to be tough (or should be), but this is the time of year to take advantage, and put as much distance as possible between them and Minnesota.

Big game tonight, Floyd has stepped up quite often this season, we need another big game tonight!

Runners on the corners no outs with heart of the lineup (strikeout kings) coming up and they can't bring anyone home. Pathetic!

Orlando Cabrera has walked, as Anthony John steps in with a second chance to win it...Runners at first & second in this 6-6 tie.

You know what the problem is....Beardown is not here to post about the Sox, he is probably out getting rejected by some girl.

Poor guy really needs to get married, so he can get rejected each night without having to go out of the house and he can post at his usual rate. 8)

Mike MacDougal, sans beard, starts the top 12th in this 6-6 tie vs. Anaheim, and Ozzie goes to the bullpen.

Yet you're here tonight. Cold night for you also? :D

'pen is getting killed. Sucks, with no day off in the next couple weeks. F-ers are going to lose a lot games in late innings.

Garret Anderson singles, but is left on first as Joshua Fields & Alexei Ramirez connect on an inning ending force out. Bottom 12th coming up, and let's finish this nonsense right now!

Vlad Guerrero led off the top 13th and popped it to Alexei as the bat broke. It's been happening quite a bit in Bud Selig's Major League Baseball this season, including at least a couple of times in the Tigers/Twins' game...Back to the game, the Angels go 1-2-3 and the White Sox head to bat in a 6-6 tie in the bottom 13th next.

Too bad he flied out to his counterpart Torii Hunter...The folks at WGN News are chomping at the bit waiting for this marathon to end, one way or the other.
