More lakefront parking lots! Friends of the lake will be happy.

Yea cuz football in a dome is so awesome

Just shows why franchises like Steelers, packers, and Patriots are legendary. They dont run from cold weather!!

A retractable dome in the NFL is, in practice, just a regular dome that costs more money. The Colts, Cardinals, and Texans almost always play under a closed roof. Once or twice they'll make a show of opening the roof and then never open it again.

The Bears will do a retractable field where they will open up the nice turf for green-painted dirt.

I think it's funny that the "Chicago may get a second team if the Bears leave" rumors are being floated. You think Lori Lightfoot sent Mike Florio a message about it?

They'll announce it at the same time as the mythical second NBA team in Dixmoor. Maybe they'll have the press conference at the third airport in Peotone.

Can you get there on the 53 expansion or the Elgin O'Hare expressway?

That airport never made a lick of sense to me. There's not a fucking thing in Peotone.

They have the Will County Fairgrounds. Does that count for nothing? (I've just been handed a note that says it does count for nothing.)

Nope, you'll have to take the Metra Southeast Line from LaSalle Station to Balmoral Park.

It has almost reached O’Hare. The ring road on the west is making good progress.

Missed Elgin by a fair amount.

It’s the little engine that could. Someday it’ll get there. Probably not, but maybe.

What are the Terry Boers Memorial Tollway, Ronald Reagan (barf) Memorial Tollway and the John Wayne Gacy Memorial Tollway?

Unreal that the city is actually going to let this shit happen.

Bears are so poorly run they can't even hold the city up for a new stadium. I'm a big proponent of cities telling teams to fuck off so good for them I guess, but I can only imagine the concessions the same people who brought you the parking meter contract would have brought to the table to get the bears to stay.

I can't believe so many people are so happy about it. They hate Lightfoot that much?

The past 30 years the Bears ownership have demonstrated they’ve totally got this NFL franchise thing down. No way this ends up in a hilarious disaster

Paving the way for a White Sox stadium on the lake front.

Most people have absolutely no taste. If you tell them "cheap easy parking" they are fully in.

I still have hope this process drags out long enough that a new mayor gets in office who can agree with the Bears on another major renovation to Soldier Field. One that might even get landmark status back. Lightfoot seems to resigned to losing them. Next election is less than a year and a half away. I doubt the Bears break ground on a new stadium before then.

Renovation?! That Frankenstein pig either stays as is or gets blown up. You don’t dump serious money into that monstrosity.

New stadium is a positive. Now they just need new owners.
