There was also a show on WCKG on weekends before the station changed to a light format. They did a nice job of keeping it informative and interesting.

I believe it's been "a friend of the program" on "The SCORE" for quite sometime, and I hear his commercial all the time. It's that guy from Townstone Financial...His show used to air on Saturday afternoons before 105.9 FM became "Fresh".

I heard good ol' Joe on WLS a few weekends ago. He's now hawking some "program" to eliminate your credit card debt by bouncing it from card to card, using one to pay the other and back again. Something like that. John "Records" Landecker was hosting.

It's a program that's been used in Australia for years due to their high interest rates and was developed by Richard Branson (I imagine after he was busted for tax evasion, maybe before).

I miss the Chicago Sports Exchange.

A couple of the real estate show guys are good friends of mine and I can assure you they have no radio training for their lives.

And inspectors are no longer able to speak on the phone. They old send emails on days they are suppossed to show upa nd they never do and then I have ZERO recourse and I send in for another request.

My latest was this past monday. Sat from 8 Am till 3:30 PM, just like the email said, nobody showed up. So I go home and resubmit and email request for an inspection. That would be tomorrow. I go to a building and sit until they show up.

A listener show could easily be done is association with one of the existing guys.

I think trying a few combinations would produce a pretty good show eventually.

Taking a guy that is rough in radio terms, with someone that drives the ship or even 2 guys that drive the ship would turn out "the regular guy" they keep trying to achieve with guys who are not regular guys. duh?

I've referenced it before here but I used to listen to a show on Sunday nights called Bears/Packers Showdown. It was on an obscure station and hosted by guys who sounded like they would be going to regular jobs the next morning. It was a great show.
