You guys should consider finding out who Nagy's brake mechanic is and slipping him a few bucks. The plan at left tackle this season seems insane to me. Wilkinson gave up 15 sacks in roughly 1800 snaps which isn't even 2 full seasons. Nobody liked Jenkins as a left tackle. Borom was considered a phone booth-mauling type right guard if he made a roster and he's at left tackle. Its possible Nagy is smarter than everyone else but unlikely.

Lombardi says the last O-line coach was fired because he told Nagy the players weren't good enough and the guy you have now is just a yes man who tells Nagy what he wants to hear. Where is Pace in all this? Does Nagy have more power than Pace?

Minnesota is in a similar situation with Darrisaw so they're going to be watching the waiver wire too.

The line improved greatly in the first game Mitch started after the benching... 2 o line starters went down and their backups outperformed them. that right there tells us these clowns can't evaluate talent.

Yep! We saw the same thing in 2018 when Daniel started. A mobile quarterback can make an offensive line look better. That's why I believe it is Fields job to lose.

The Bears deserve to be shit on a lot of the time. There is genuine hope with Fields. The Bears haven't had a guy who has the potential to be this great on offense since Sweetness probably.

Physically? Absolutely! Mentally? Of course not. No rookie ever is. I'm perfectly fine with Dalton starting the first month or so. If he looks like Alex Smith in 2017, I'm perfectly fine with him starting the entire season.

I think starting him in 2018 without him being mentally prepared enough would have been fine. The defense was great enough to weather his growing pains. I'm not certain the defense is good enough to win with a great quarterback this year. Let him learn from a pro who has significant starting experience.
