Gotta give Ozzie credit in this one. Moving AJ down in the line up was huge. He got 3 RBI. He put the squeeze on.

Owens and Wise contributed today. Great game. Way to battle against Halliday who was hot as hell coming in.

Can't say enough about Buehrle too. If we get in the playoffs we can get some pitching.

Beardown, it seemed like a smart idea tonight to move A.J. down in the lineup...

"Frasier" is warming up in the bullpen...  Mark Buehrle's night is done w/ 7 1/3 innings of shutout baseball...A STANDING OVATION FOR #56 & a 5-0 lead in the top 8th... :D

Unfortunately, no shutout for Buehrle...Octavio Dotel's first batter, Alex Rios (?) smacked a two run homer & Vernon Wells singled...Bobby Jenks in bullpen. Might we see a 2 inning, 4 out save opportunity for Bobby?

Thankfully a double play takes a possible 4 out save out of the equation, but Bobby might still get the call in the 9th...

Brian FUCKING Anderson

See Ozzie? A nice RBI hit, some speed, and top notch defense. Granted Owens had a nice game tonite, but BA should not be sitting on the bench as much as he does.

Panther. How long have you lived in Chicago? We get 30 degree drops in September every year. Within a weeks time. Sometimes within 24 hours come this time a year.

i got called out from DS about making similar waah's about the fact that during the summer it'd be 90 in the day and 62 at night, and he said that's normal and i never remembered it happening...but then i looked it up and saw that it is normal for that to happen, especially in july.

i however have not lived here my whole life...not even half of it.

Just in case anyone has missed it, Javy Vazquez will start Saturday afternoon's game vs. Detroit on three days rest. This is the game Chris Rose & Leo Mazzone will provide descriptions on FOX Sports Saturday @ 2:55p. Lance Broadway is tentatively penciled in to pitch the game on ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball" vs. the Tigers at 7:05p with Jon Miller & Joe Morgan providing the national call. It's believed the Sox will shift to a four-man rotation when they visit the Bronx starting Monday for the biggie vs. the Yankees, whose "elimination number" is currently 9.

I'm not a Yankee hater but it will be nice to see Hank, Joe and company miss the playoffs for the first time since '95.

edit- and my buddy A-Pud. :D

I will be happy NOT to see the Yankees in the playoffs either, but the bosses at FOX Sports & Turner Sports will be very disappointed. In case anyone really cares, Joe Girardi will be filling out the lineup card next year when the Yanks move into their new multi-million dollar Yankee Stadium across the street from their current ballpark. That's the word from Hank, and hopefully the last you will read about that flop of a team this year...

I bet Liriano got a no decision, and I wonder if Joe Nathan got hooked w/ the loss...

The lineup for tonight's game is in for the finale of the season series vs. Toronto, and once again DeWayne Wise starts the game in left field & Nick Swisher plays first base. Ken Griffey, Jr. & his .247 BA since the trade with Cincinnati was made, replaces Jerry Owens in center field as Shawn Marcum pitches the finale this eve vs. Gavin Floyd. I've yet to see the pitching probables for the Detroit series this weekend, and here's hoping Brian Anderson gets a start in one of the three. If I'm B.A.'s agent, I demand answers into why Ozzie is so damn stubborn in not playing the best centerfielder on this roster!

Frank, I've deleted that word. It baffles me that THE BEST centerfielder on the White Sox roster, Brian Anderson, still doesn't get that much playing time....

Plus an actual stolen base last night. Only 5 teams have less stolen bases than the Sox, and 4 teams have twice as many.

What the hell? No HD for the Sox today. They are on Comcast Plus. Usually MOJO network is the HD channel when that happens. Not tonight.

How have the Sox faired against this pitcher in the past?

It will kick in late, like they did with the Cubs the other night. Just keep checking.

Thanks. It's on 174 now.

Hey!!! There is another hot blond sitting behind the Sox dugout. You see her when they show the close-up, side view of the right handed batter.

I swear, some rich guy must own those seats and he gets a lot of women. Cuz this is like the 3rd or 4th time I've seen a different hot bitch there. This girl is the best one yet.

What's the deal with Nick Swisher at first tonight? Umpire Jim Wolf has missed at least 3 calls at first base with "Dirty 30" tagging, but not getting the call! WTF?
