This was just as good as the Last Dance documentary in my opinion.

All kidding aside with the OP, this was really well done. Definitely worth a viewing.

I really enjoyed it.

come on pootons, Luc and Judd were a little bit different people on those teams. Luc was a starter and has a pretty unique story

Always despised the fans booing him during the starting lineup.

Big body. Could throw around the muscle. Shoot a little. Another journeyman propped up by MJ.

Scottie looks terrible and it makes you wonder now with the comments the guy has made in the year if he's headed for a padded room. Dude doesn't look right.

Luc was an excellent basketball player and the Bulls would not have been champs the last two seasons with Bill Wennington at center. Luc was a cheap pickup and much like Felton Spencer, when he left my Timberwolves he got a lot better. Luc fit so perfectly with the Bulls, better in my opinion than a guy like Cartwright who needed his touches to feel like he was part of the team. Luc was much more passing minded and took the opposing big out of the lane where Jordan, Pippen and Harper could drive without fear.

People generally think that if someone is taller or bigger on a basketball court that they should basically back down their opponent and beat them into submission. Unfortunately, that's not how it works. Not everyone has that killer mindset. Shaq was one of the players that did that, but there are plenty of other big basketball players that wouldn't have the mentality to just bully their opponent until they scored. In general the NBA has gone away from the post up game where you have someone like Dirk who is basically a 7 foot power forward. It seems to me that some of the 7 foot guys wanted to be considered power forwards so they could score more or get paid more. The NBA went from a league you feed the beast in to the paint to where the 7 foot dude is shooting up three pointers.

What Longley did well was his presence in the paint, taking fouls and adding some scoring and passing. He wasn't Wilt Chamberlain in the NBA, but he probably was one of the biggest NBA players from Australia in his era. It was probably a good move for Krause to get him for Stacey King.

I think it was probably a wrong move to trade King.

Stacey King was a huge bust, along with fellow analyst Will Perdue.

I'm watching this now. My brother recommended it also.

It's really good.

Quite naturally, MJ comes off as kind of a horrible teammate.

Pippen looks bizarre.

It would have been fun to have had an insignificant Chicago party night with Luc and Dennis.

Nope, just trying to draw attention to the inimitable logic of Mini Ditka.

Man saves himself by sheltering in a basement during a tornado.

Mini Ditka: it was probably a good move to shelter in the basement.

This is Jordan. 10 hours of Last Dance doesn't get to this.

Jordan just wanted to win and nothing else mattered. Last Dance celebrated it.

But, this looks at it from our perspective as regular people, MJ was not a fun boss.

In the extras video, MJ threw in a "Quite Naturally".

I love it.

Great watch. Luc has turned into a doppelgänger of Jared Harris from Chernobyl.

There’s some cognitive dissonance in the idea that a documentary about a humble, quiet man was made because he was bothered about his exclusion from The Last Dance doc.

That said, he seems like an awesome guy - hopefully somebody pops into the athlete party thread with a Longley story. There was a line in there about how he liked to hang with Scottie during the season, which probably should’ve thrown up some red flags for his wife.

That was really good. Watch the extra 30 minute MJ interview.

MJ is a psycho and it is interesting to see that play out.

But Luc is a guy like a Frank or a Dr. Ken living in that world that just observes and sees what happens.

It is The Last Dance for The Rest of Us.

(also old Luc looks a lot like Chus).

Yes, MJ is a phycho killer. But that's why we won 6.

There would be nobody caring about a "Luc Longely story" without MJ.

12 other mediocre centers in the NBA could have been a part of that 2nd 3 peat. Just like Bill Cartright got to be the mediocre center for the first 3 peat. Why don't we get the Bill Cartright story?

I want to hear the Jud Buchler story god damnit!!!!

The Bill Cartwright Story would be great.

He was the man in era of drafting the tallest skilled guy available.

Do you think Luc is lonely because he's taller than everyone else and is retired now. Probably goes around his local town saying things like: "Hey mate, remember me I used to be someone. I used to be a contender. Now I'm scum, a loser a bum!"

I’ll echo the doctor…if you watch the doc, make sure you watch the 30 min Jordan interview afterwards.

I’ll take your guys word for it. I can’t imagine being bored/high enough to watch a documentary on Luc Longley. I’ll just rewatch the Wire or Sopranos for the 23rd time over that.
