Shane said something about Parko having a year and a half left on his contract Goff said "I had two years...you really only have 90 days". Didn't that happen because he negotiated his own deal and gave the Score a 90 day out?

Probably because he negotiated his own deal. Also I thought his was 30 days?

Shocking that the attorneys for 670 knew more about contract law than the SIU dropout . But Goff gon’ do Goff .

I listened for about about 90 seconds before PTFB, and half of that time was because I was making a left turn.

I tried to listen to Waddle and Silvy while driving to Midway but Silvy was screeching and they kept on having shitty callers. I ended up listening to news on 780 instead.

Sounds like my ride home. Turned on 1000 and they switched to White Sox pre-game. Flipped over to 670 to hear Goff talking about vaccines and then getting angry at Shane for texting him when they where interviewing for the mid day show with Parkins. Said, who is he to have to interview for THEM! PTFB once again on angry Goff and glad he is not full time.

Goff is one of those people who thinks the world is out to get him and doesn't recognize the opportunities he has been given through out his career. He can't get out of his own head to make it in the industry.

In the short time I listened, Goff was ripping Shane for not prepping a guest properly. Apparently Parkins wanted someone from the original Coming to America, so Shane got the person who was listed 4th on the IMDB page. Turns out the list was alphabetical, and that person had no speaking lines and was essentially an extra whose big moment was opening a door for Eddie Murphy.

Larry and Goff shit all over Parkins when he came in. What a bunch of phonies all around.

Goff said there was a provision in his deal that allowed the score to get out of the remainder of his contract if he wasn't on the air for X number of days, so all the station had to do was just...not schedule him to be on air for that amount of time, and they could cut ties with him. It seems weird that the station would be given the power to void the contract after he didn't perform on-air for a certain amount of time AND the exclusive right to decide whether he goes on-air on any given day, and I'm hoping that no talent agent in the world would allow that kind of thing to be signed by their client. But hey, if Goff went without an agent, at least he pocketed their 15% and got to lease a luxury SUV.

George Halas would've been proud.

I listened to transition. Goff sounded fine. Larry and his stories are just dumb.

I listened to the Can't do it segment.

Mostly a bunch of nothing, but I did chuckle when Goff was asked if he would side with Danny Mac or DeCastro in a fight and he said he would hand Mac brass knuckles for the fight

I may have to listen to the actual show….

Goff has talent. I just do not understand why he wanted to get mad at callers who did not care for the NBA or talk about his kid so much. It got old in about one week.

I loved Goff when he was with B&B and I was happy for him to get his own show, but man it got bad quick. He took himself WAYYYY too serious. I hope if he gets another chance that he returns to his roots that made people like him during his days with B&B. Just have fun and stop taking yourself so serious.

I listened to the opening segment. Same old Goff. Complete word vomit coming out of his mouth. There is zero chance anyone who was just scanning the radio for sports talk would stick with it. Even score heads on this message board would need help deciphering exactly what he was trying to say half the time.

I don't think he'll be lining up a full time gig if that's the best he has to offer. It was truly incoherent radio with parkins/goff talking over each other and generally having no idea what point each person was trying to get across.

You gotta get satellite radio, these local shows are unlistenable.

As a 3rd wheel, he was pretty funny giving Bernstein shit. As a host, awful. I don't care about his awful, wrong social and political positions, but he felt the need to share everyday and lecture everyone with Bernstein. Pretty rough.

New generation? Tell me the last Score intern who had a regular show during the week?

I'll give you a hint. He interned 20 years ago.

If the New Generation is the likes of Blech and Abdalla on AM1000, things are only going to get worse.

Jason Goff. He interned in the late 90s/very early 2000s. I believe Parkins only interned at ESPN 1000.

20+ years. That’s pathetic.

I know 670 stopped hiring interns altogether a year or two after I was there in 2013. Pretty unbelievable. The station will be gone before you get a new generation.

It was a hard listen. The desk slapping was back. The hyper yelling laughing was in full effect. I don't miss Goff on the radio at all.

Goff is the on the latest Bill Simmons podcast which is wild to me and something I never expected to see. Bill also he’s got some work for The Ringer coming up. Goff stays winning.

Ringer recently hired Big Wos, seems duplicative to bring on J Goff. I'd rather hear Wos. I think Wos is more of Bulls fan than any other NBA team, despite being from NY. Wos an easier listen than Goff's nervous cackling.
