Too reliant on Fields here. Fields would have to be all pro at QB and safety if there's any chance at regular season success here. Otherwise with this defense it won't matter if he passes for 30 TDs and rushes for 20 more.

Not really man. Fire Nagy, get a league average coach, start Fields, and the team is probably 2-3 wins better and a wildcard team, maybe division winner since it looks like our division is the NFC East of last year.

I hear what you’re saying.

But that’s what would make it work. NFL defenses love the jailbreak. But I’ve seen him make that work.

But I was wrong about Stafford tonight. So, consider that.

Down 20 points with about 2 minutes to go. The Rams are probably calling off the dogs on defense. Let Fields run a series and see what's up.

A “tipped ball” interception is really applicable only when it hits your own player first. Collinsworth lawyering for Dalton.

Idk, I get depressed when I see atrocious defense. It usually means nothing on offense will matter.

I'm fine with saying he got unlucky. It's not like Cutler throwing into triple coverage or that dumbass Mitch forcing a throw because he can't think about other options on the fly.

Smartest thing I’ve ever heard Collinsworth say.

You get Fields and Montgomery in together, defense has to be on their heels.

And somebody find Cohen.

No matter who plays QB, Bears aren’t putting up 35 points very often.

Not sure how to fix a dad D whose playmakers have all gotten old.

Very often? What over the last two years gives you any indication that this team can put up five offensive TDs in one game?

This is a 5 win team. CIN was penciled in as a win but I'm not convinced of that anymore. Fire everybody. This is a fucking joke.

He is generational talent in their minds. I still think he is mostly typical Ohio State shit but he was at UGA initially which generally recruits quarterbacks that have some sort of brain activity. They have an amazing line, their running game has to be respected and their wr's are so athletic that they are generally wide open. You can literally just stand there and wait and wait and wait and then throw to a wr who is so wide open that even if your throw sucks he can adjust and get it.

All I was saying there is that if this is "their" generational talent then why are you putting him in game 1 with some random plays? Play him or don't. No one does what Nagy just did with him.

Cincy will light the Bears up with those WRs.

This O-line and average looking defense would make it tough on anyone to be competitive. Add shitty coaching/play calling to the mix and you’ve got a recipe for frustration all year.

Bears are a .500 to sub .500 team atm, like they’ve been for a while now. This might be the worst of the Nagy teams tho so far so it could be worse record wise.

Well, I was trying to give Fields the benefit of the doubt.

Plus, I worked hard tonite to get to 1,000 posts, so I needed to make some sort of trite comment to get there.

at least were not totally pissed off on this game. dalton was better than expected. he clearly is a seasoned guy, good for what we need right now. hard to say fields would be better, because the rams threw a shitstorm at us today. our defense came out flat and only moderately woke up. the rams defense was great.

dalton has a rocket arm, and he recognizes the first read better than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky ever did. even fields has no chance at making those first reads that dalton had to deal with today. i really this game to the rams defense.

next week should be fun. bengals punked the viqueens. bears will be looking to punk them.
