Desai schemes Chase and Higbee open for multiple long gains.

Bengals: 35
Bears: 17

Burrow is going to be an absolute stud. Thankfully we catch him while he still has an unstable knee.

Then you shouldn't be sold on any young quarterback. He has the it gene and the talent.

I think the Bengals will have the same game plan for the Bears as they did with the Vikings. They will look to run and continue to do so until they are stopped. 29 carries for Mixon last week. I wish we had a coach so devoted to what is working.

I think the Bears play better and hang in there, but the defense gives it up late once again.

Bengal 30
Bear 26

It's going to be near 90 and humid on Sunday, so the Beloved best be wearing their white jerseys.

 It certainly wouldn't shock me if the Bears win.

It certainly would shock me if that D is able to keep Burrow in check all game and hold him to 10 points.

While I knew the D was no longer elite and hasn't been for some time, I still thought they were good enough to keep things close most games, thus my prediction for a 7-8 win season. Its early, but it appears I was quite wrong.

Mixon, Burrow, Boyd, Higgins, Chase against this secondary = 10 points?

Fair point. Stranger things have happened.

I don't think it surprised MANY that the Saints won against GB, but the game being so lopsided and the Packers only scoring 3 points was a shocker imo.

If they lose, then Nagy will lose this team permanently.

I think the Bears are about a seven win team and that this is probably one of those seven-ish wins. Everyone is making a little too much of Cincinnati's win and a little much of the Bears loss. The reality is these are very evenly matched teams in the NFL's lower-middle class. Except I'm pretty sure Zac Stacy's attempts at replicating his mentors gameplan will be a little too predictable, even for the likes of Sean Desai and Matt Nagy.

Cincinnati does not have Jalen Ramsey. Their attempts to deny downfield plays simply won't be as effective without that talent present in the defensive backfield.

It will come down to pass rush. The Bears best pass rusher (at least we hope he comes back as the Bears best pass rusher...) is still suspended another game, or else I'd call this an obvious bounceback game for the defense. Still I don't expect them to look like they did Sunday night. They still suck, but they don't suck that much.

Bears 27
Bengals 24

Line opened anywhere from Bears -4 to Bears -3.5/-3, it was quickly bet down after Sunday to -2.5 at the vegas books that do a lot of sharp money. The public must be pounding Burrow and the Bengals; it's down to -2 on Draft Kings and -1.5 at Fan Duel, both heavy on public betting? Seems like the line has moved too far, considering the game's in Chicago. If you're on the Bears, probably grab some now and then maybe even more before kickoff, depending on which way the line goes btw now and then (obv).

Only other line this week moving that much has been the Patriots giving -4/-4.5 against the Jets to start and moving all the way to -6, likely on its way to -7 by kickoff.

The Bears have no coaching. Team has given up on Nagy and his staff. You can hear it in the player interviews. It is going to get ugly.

I was trying to figure out what the fuck Zac Stacey had to do with this discussion. He saved my fantasy season as a scrap heap pickup a few years ago. RIP.

Can you bet on if ARob will run a route longer than 8 yards?

Players and the local media are openly questioning Nagy's ability to develop an offensive game plan, call plays, and make adjustments, a loss here and even a goof like George should start seeing the writing on the wall.

What makes anybody thing that a head coach who only pays attention to the offense, but cannot even put together a competent game plan can successfully develop a potential franchise QB?

The other interesting thought came from Olin Kreutz who mocked Nagy's ongoing endorsement of Juan Castillo by simply saying, "If he is so great, why was he out on the street for two years", gotta love Olin's honesty.
