There are none contact bone bruises. The usually happen to runners or basketball players and come from the impact of planting. He appeared to be feeling for a ligament though, but that could also be the location of the bruise.

I don't know why you would want Fields to start, when Dalton was clearly better. In fact, he looked pretty good, like he could lead the team.

I was giddy seeing a Chicago Bears QB making plays for a change, albeit, even against the Bengals.

I'm fine with Dalton starting for the time being. The o-line is bad. The coach and offensive play caller is bad. Fields will be fine eventually, but likely has a lot to learn yet. Dalton has yet to look terrible....overall he's been better than I thought he'd be. The Bears have bigger problems to worry about.

I liked what I saw from him in the Cincinatti game.

They have a poor track record on covering up injuries, I mean it was pretty obvious Jenkins had some type of disc issue when he was out for weeks with back stiffness. The angle at which is knee turned likely causes soft tissue injuries, but they are not going to tell you, the length of time he is out will be the true indicator of if he sprained ligaments or strained muscles/tendons. That said, he's an older, immobile QB playing behind a terrible offensive line, it's just a matter of time before he gets hit again, especially with the immediate interior pressures the Bears gave up last week.

Dalton wasn't going to run around like Justin Fields, but he appeared capable of moving well enough. The offensive line has been solid this season. It may be time to stop blaming them for the failures on offense.

They looked fine last game. Both quarterbacks were able to stand in the pocket and take shots down the field. The flood gates used to stay open. They've clearly improved. Obviously this weekend will be a MAJOR test.

Dalton is a nice guy. We need to think about his long term future. We need to sit him for the rest of the season so he enjoy time with his kids. We're only thinking about what's best for him now.
