a friend of ours is actually having a wedding today. because of that song. that's the reason.

so, on a tuesday, at 3pm, in the city--with street parking the only thing available and not in a really great area...let's celebrate with a wedding.

this was actually rescheduled from last year, when it was going to be on a monday.

Every offense aimed at them, but to expect a reception/celebration on a Tuesday, that's a pretty dickish move.

We literally can’t go, and I can’t imagine it being a very fun time. I think it only lasts until 9pm anyway.

Even Sunday weddings are usually pretty dreary unless it’s on a holiday weekend.

Yeah, last Sunday wedding I went to made for a tough Monday. Worst one was still my Ren Faire cousin that had his wedding on 10/10/10...God damn Sunday during football season. The capper was the lack of Ren Faire nerd costumes that I was guaranteed when I agreed to even go.

My grandma died 44 years ago today and one of my aunts usually thinks about her mom then remembers that my birthday has passed and will call me to wish me a happy belated birthday.

i've seen the setup for the ren faire wedding banquet and it doesn't look like it would live up to the hype. i'd rather have one at the King's Hall in Lombard. That place looks great for something like that.

it's also kinda shitty weather out there to day for a wedding. grey, and probably chilly in the city.

don't think i'm missing a thing.

happy belated birthday, spaulding. and many more.

Sounds like people that don't want any guests at their wedding....which I guess is their choice.

If you're paying for your own wedding, do whatever the fuck you want. We sure did.

Yeah. If a Tuesday wedding isn’t a money thing, I have no idea what is.

I already said why it was a Tuesday. This is in the city at a DIY venue. This is in the tens of thousands costwise. If 9/21 fell on a Saturday they’d have done it then, but that won’t happen for a while.

We paid for our wedding too. We still kept our guests in mind on how much we wanted THEM to enjoy it.

I'm going with Z's original post about it being because they are dorks and want to remember the 21st night of September.

Cheers

I'd consider it a bad omen that their love didn't chase the clouds away.

The best part is that the particular date had no meaning other than fitting the groove.
