the offensive line sucks. matt nagy, i just saved you hours of hours of pondering about why your offense sucks.... your o line sucks.

congrats to matt nagy, he was able to dupe pace, phillips, and george 4 years ago. they hired an offensive guru who actually had barely any OC experience. it didnt make sense then and it obviously isnt working out now.

they hired a guy who gave a good interview but his resume doesnt backup any of the good interview

Yikes.

Lions, @Raiders, Packers, @Bucs, 49ers, @Steelers (Monday), Ravens

You see three wins there? I certainly don't. I see two at best.

Lions, Raiders, Steelers...bank it.

Don't be surprised when they beat the Pack or 49ers either

I don't think you can confidently say that the Bears "should beat" anybody at this point.

I'm not saying the Raiders are legit SB contenders, but they have scored 33, 26 (short week, on the road to EST), and 31 points. Carr's 1200 passing yards is more than double what the Bears have in TOTAL OFFENSE so far this season (575).

The Bears can't match those types of numbers, let alone beat 'em.

This guy gets it.

RAIDERS!!!

Thats four wins, plus the one they have. So that is five wins going into Detroit on Turkey Day according to you.

I will take the under.

I didn't want to appear overly optimistic.

The truth is it will be 6

 I think saying the Bears will be 3-7 heading into Thanksgiving would be optimistic.

Nagy is just Dr. Death in a bald cap.

Both were heralded as offensive gurus that were going to bring the Bears offense out of the stone age and found early success in year one, but proved to ultimately be horrible game managers prone to freak out early in games and abandon the run, refuse to do the things that their QBs could do well, couldn't scheme receivers open, and their offensive units routinely looked to be unprepared and unable to adjust.

The only difference appears to be that the Bad Doc has learned how to be friends with NFL players since his first stint, so he won't yet be dealing with another locker room mutiny.

This is the moron from PFF that never played a down of football and told his local newspaper in Ireland that all the teams consult with him before doing anything. Running 5-man 60% of the time against one of the best defensive lines in football with Peters and Ifedi is fine. Nagy should hire this guy...he'd fit right in.

Who is this guy? Seems to think that if the bears lose to the lions that Nagy is gone. I just dont see it, seems just like wishful thinking

The Lions essentially beat the Ravens, so it's not inconceivable the Bears lose Sunday. But if the Bears get blown out at home, and get booed off the field, I can absolutely see Nagy getting launched and Lazer made the interim.

firing mid season is not the bears style

but if you fire nagy, you must fire pace. No GM with mediocre results gets to pick THREE head coaches (let alone draft a second QB in the first round).

Anyway, they are beating the Lions

I just do not see any way they fire him in the season. Maybe if they have only 1 win towards the middle to later part of the season. But no way after just a couple of weeks.

It has to be both, and that is another reason why the fans should want it to be after the season is over. They are not firing both in season. Let this season play out and then can both of them on the monday after the season.

They seem to like NYD (even though the season is a week longer and started later)

The Lions have less talent than the Bears but they play much harder. This one isn't a layup. Fields needs to be unshackled, Nagy needs to be jailed, Pace needs to be beheaded.

You can't fire either. The Bears don't have a first round pick next year. That would make the job less attractive. Also, having a young quarterback learn 2 offenses in his first 2 years is never good. Then you have to hope that the new GM and head coach really likes Fields and don't view him the way Nagy did (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. When Pace was allowed to trade up to draft Fields, that was clearly a sign that he and Nagy were going to be around until at least 2023.

I think they need to point to some kind of "progress," which is what George and Ted said last year, right? I suppose anything can be considered progress after last week's abomination.

I don't think that it's possible to drop lower than Sunday. Maybe they plan on selling that.

Forcing Fields to learn two offenses is better than forcing him to work under Nagy. Both scenarios suck but learning two offenses sucks less because it means Nagy is gone.

Also, Nagy has many faults, but viewing (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky the way he did was not one of them.

The defense played plenty hard on Sunday. An equal effort against the Lions should render good results. Hockenson will probably have a big game

The defense wasn't good Sunday. They benefited from some bad 4th down calls and some timely sacks. The Browns rushed for about 200 yards and had no problem moving the ball.
