I thought the speculation was that they were going to sell a portion of the team to some other entities which would then partner with them and help them develop and run the Arlington Heights property. For instance, someone in the casino industry or entertainment industry.

My understanding is their current partners have right of first refusal.

I work down the street from the Halas Hall entrance. You are correct that it's a decent corporate park, but only one problem right now.....commercial real estate is completely fucked. But....even if they ate the money dumped into Halas Hall....the AH Stadium would easily make up for it and then some.

I too will walk away rather than see the Bears leave the city of my birth. I have nothing in common with Arlington Heights, the Bears might as well play on the moon at that point.
