That's the spread at home.
So Vegas has no respect for the bears. Basically calling a home game against the Lions a wash.

Would you go Lions + a field goal this weekend?

It's tempting for anyone who doesn't have confidence in the Bears.

Seems like a fair line. Probably not gonna play this one cuz of Nagy but Bears should win by a field goal in a just universe.

THIS.
Nas said it earlier....the Lions are a scrappy team. The Bears will win this, but they're not good. A win by less than a field goal isn't a crazy line. It's one to generate gambling revenue. They tend to be good at this sort of prediction.

After watching the Bears last weekend play offense, I don't know how you can have any confidence they can win a game.

Last week was really bad but I don't see any way it will look like that this week. Detroit's defense isn't that good. Likely be a close game but Bears should pull it out

Bears should not be favored over any team in any setting.

…maybe Jax

The Bears have a very good defense still. They can rush the passer. Eddie Jackson is a liability, but the defense is still a joy to watch. Mack, Quinn, Hicks and Smith are all Pro Bowl level. Desai seems like a big upgrade.

The offense was so bad last week that no game is certain. You can't have Lazar telling us Fields is ready and then have that performance.

The 2.5 essential says they aren't favored.

I would like to believe that it couldn't get worse offensively, but drinking that much kool-aid could be deadly for me. Fields looked terrible, Robinson couldn't win 1 on 1's with mediocre corners, the offensive line was brutal and the gameplan was AWFUL. That has to be rock bottom, right?

There is no reason to have any confidence in Nagy or the Bears offense putting up enough points to win. The D will probably play well. If there is a Pick 6 or a special teams return that sets up a short field, that could be the difference.

I think the other thread I said Lions 17-10 or something like that, so I'll stick with it.

Bears are going to win by two touchdowns, easily. The Lions stink and are on the road. Nagy will get his head out of his ass(and hopefully playcalling to Laser).

You're probably right, I just can't wager a penny on these bums.

Well I collected my white Sox over wager the other day so I'm feeling froggy enough to put a couple down on this game. But we still don't have a starter named? Probably Fields right? He was a full participant in practice and Dalton was limited?

The Bears stink too. I don't think you get ten wins combined from these two clown outfits this season.

He's really hoping Dalton is ready to go.

People seem to have forgotten that the Bears lost at home to the Lions last year.

Lions at -2.5 is a lousy bet.

Trap game for the Lions, they need to secure the W in Chicago before looking ahead to the showdown for second next week vs Minnesota. Whereas the Bears unlikely to win another game after this until Thanksgiving when they play the Lions again. Khalil Mack will likely start but then exit the game with an injury, either real or he'll fake one if the Bears offense delivers again like it did last week. Coach Knee-Biter will no doubt have his players ready to go; questionable whether anyone on the Bears still wants to play for the favorite to win the 2021 Adam Gase award for worst coach in the league.

If the Bears can get 2 turnovers that puts the offense in good field position, they will win. If the offense has to win the game with long drives..... Good luck.

I think that either the Bears win an unnecessarily close game, or the Lions win by two possessions. I don't gamble on sports except from some occasional baseball, if you took a 6.5 teaser on the Lions from +2.5 to -4, what does that pay?

If Dalton plays, the Bears should win pretty easily by two touchdowns.

If he doesn't and Fields starts, it's a pick 'em.

Gotta have 2 teams for teasers, and for this reverse line movement teaser there's only 1 option, moving 6 points. About the only other game in the early slate reasonable to reverse tease with the Lions (+3 currently) would be the Panthers (+4 @Dallas):

Image

Could combine Lions with one of the late games,

Seahawks +2 @Niners, moving to Seahawks -4
Ravens -1 @Broncos, => Ravens -7
Steelers +6 @Packers => Steelers pk, translates to +600 for a ML win (assuming the other leg of the teaser comes in) vs only +225 currently for the Steelers ML
Patriots +7 hosting TB12 => Patriots +1

they all pay 1 to 6 / +600 for this 6 point reverse teaser -- gotta have 2 dawgs you can tease through 0 (or down, or up, if already a favorite) and both cover their new spreads

i parlayed the bears ML and the over 41... i chose the over because it doesnt make sense to me how these 2 will score over 41 points in rainy conditions.... so you have to bet that

No wonder I don't bet football. Including the fact that I barely watch it.

Baseball often has a 1.5 run line which you can play by itself. What's what I usually play on the few times I've done it when on vacation in a location with an in-person sports book.
