There's a few guys who analyze Fields fairly, but there's a lot of media people and fans who are so blinded by the hype. BTW his QB rating was 82.7

It is frustrating.. but I think it’s coming. They have to run this style of offense tho to help Fields get there. You can see it in some of these throws tho, that’s talent and skill that can’t be taught and he’s got it.


He still reads slowly sometimes and holds on to the ball too long. He still throws high here and there.. but over time that stuff will work itself out if they run a straight up offense.

Ok, so the Bears are good enough to beat bad teams and bad enough to lose to the good ones. That hasn’t changed yet.


Fields bounced back big this game and showed he wasn’t ruined by last weeks debacle. He’s still holding the ball way too long and throwing high tho. That will work itself out as he gains experience.


The play calling was good today, no sideways Nagy bullshit -every play for the most part moved forward from the snap. They need to keep that up or this team is toast.


Defense barley held on today and let the Lions stay in the game longer than they should have been allowed to. Still, they bent but didn’t break, so there’s that.

This game is proof the Bears offense needs to ditch the RPO stuff outside of a few gimmick plays.. asking this line to hold blocks long enough for the QB to decide whether to keep it or not, asking them to block for a running play or a pass play after the snap is just too much for this team. Just stick with what we saw today. Straight forward football.

Today showed that if you give fields time he's got a nice deep ball and he can probably chuck it all over the yard pretty well if, say, you were able to put him in mahones' shoes playing that chiefs offense. Not saying he's mahomesque or anything, but i reckon if you moved him.around the pocket and gave him the line + weapons + plays the chiefs run he could end up doing pretty darn good there.

Maybe Nagy and Co are trying to save some of the movement stuff for the gauntlet theyre about to run in thd upcoming schedule? I'm fully expecting OB and Hamp to get on Nagy + Co for not rolling him out or trying to.get him loose out of the pocket for natural/spontaneous RPOs where you can play IRL like you did with Vick in mid-00s madden.

In fairness to the defense the lions did this during the first two weeks of the season; they get down big to SF and Arizona in quarters 1-3 then they get going in garbage time and get back to within 1-2 scores and then lose.. same thing they did today. Last week they needed a ravens last second FG from ~60\+ yards to win, so at least they were nice enough to show up and help us get fields to wash thd taste of browns beatdown out of his mouth + ass + etc

Its probably because he thinks he can outscheme his opposing coaches and draw up clever "safe" plays that even.a shit QB can throw a few yards then spring his receivers for ~5-15/+ yard games. IIRC the big 63 yarder to mooney wasnt 40+ in the air, he got it and broke a tackle or two / got a block or two.and the big play ensued.

I think the Lions have found themselves a worse head coach than the current Bears head coach. How can the Lions not go for 1 field goal the entire game... from the 1st qtr. on they did not go for a field goal on 4th down which is suspicious that either there is an injury to the kicker or the coach is worse than Nagy in play calling.

Fields can throw a very nice ball when there is no pressure and he has all day to make his reads. He did this at OSU but the only difference was you couldnt tell how good his ball was as the wr's had about a 10 yd adjustment window because no one could cover them. Those were awesome throws today and he put them right on the dot but as I said he was just standing there. When he had pressure he melted. Campbell is an idiot for not bringing constant heat but campbell being an idiot is another discussion. Good day but a long way to go.
