The problem is that the back-up is Collins, who might be even worse defensively.

agreed on pointless. The definition doesnt help much either. By the wording, any attempt at the ball, full swing or not is technically a swing and strike. Id be ok with it being taken away from home plate umpire and all need to be appealed to base umpires, if we're using the plate as the decider
