BoSox vs. Rays will be an unbelievable series.

Hard to believe Tampa had 100 wins, and led Boston by 8 games.

Atlanta vs Milwaukee tomorrow

Dodgers somehow favored in Game 1 vs Giants. Buehler must be pitchin'.

The Rays are so deep. It should be a great series.

Plus Dave Wills and Andy Freed might be the best radio duo in the game today. It's probably still Jon Miller and Dave Flemming, but Flemming is a bit of a prick and Miller is getting a bit too old.

So when the guy from 3rd takes off for home on the pitch does that just become a play at the plate and that is all the umpire is looking at or does it also count as a pitch and a ball/strike?

If the pitcher steps off the rubber, it's not a pitch. If he doesn't, he risks balking with his motion.

Gotcha. Watching it live I thought he went thru with the pitch, but watching it again I see that he stepped off the rubber before throwing home

I'm not a regular listener, but I tuned in tonight for a few innings. Wills was pretty much missing in action for the entire period of time. In fact, when I first tuned in I thought Freed was flying solo.

Sox had chances to bring Wills in on both TV and radio but chose not to.

I assume JR did not like his work as he was a voice of the fan back when he worked pre and post.

I think he would be the next beloved broadcaster in this town

I'm listening again. Wills has to be playing the McKnight role here, right? If he's not, I don't know what the he'll he's doing. This broadcast is just Freed having a conversation with himself. I enjoyed Wills doing pre and post in the early 00's, but if this is what he brings to a play-by-play booth, hard pass for me.

Edit: Now Freed appears to have handed it over to Wills, but it's just Wills by himself and now Freed is M.I.A.

Posey hit a 2-run HR off Buehler in the first inning.

Ex-cub LaStella scored.

ex-Cub Bryant got a smash hit off him in the 2nd.

Boston and Tampa in a slugfest.

Boston has exploded.

Chris Sale gave up 5 in the first.

Down 5-2, Boston now leads 12-6.

They have exploded against guess who? Michael Wacha. Remember they beat him in the 2013 WS.

Thats the sign of a good team. They can come back on the road and slug. The Sox woulda been deflated after being down 5-2.

By the way, Sale was taken out after 1 inning. Why? Why are pitchers being so babied?

It worked out though, as Houck pitched the next 5 solid innings.

Because he gave up five runs in the first inning when his team in down 1-0 in a five game series.

The Dodgers showing they are one of the big boys.

They come back and get game 2 on the road. 9-2.

Like the Red Sox did. The White Sox couldnt do it.

It is sad but baseball is barely on in Vegas. The little tv in the MGM book. Yes football is great but baseball is my love. I wish people loved it like I do.

Tampa is great, they are hanging in at Fenway.

4-4 tie in the 11th.

The guy on the rays hit one over the head of the right fielder it bounced off the wall , hit the right fielder and bounced into the bullpen. The rays had a runner on base that would’ve scored easily had the ball stayed in play
