I hope the do. I'd rather face him here than in Houston.

It's dumb.

Anyway, I don't think sign stealing by a runner should be illegal or even taboo. It's should be considered part of the game. It's a lot different than using elaborate camera or television systems to grab signs. Change your fuckin' signs.

Rodon for 3, Lynn for 4, then Hendricks for 2 if it's close. They owe it to Rodon to give him the chance to prove that he's healthy enough for a nice 4-year deal from someone in the offseason.

That leaves them almost their whole bullpen for Game 5. Giolito, Lopez, Kopech, Tepera, Kimbrel. Bummer can slot in for wherever the 2-out crisis is with a tough lefty on both days, and Cease is there if it gets to the 11th.

Agreed. Rodon has to start and you have Lynn ready to go. Problem is, there is zero chance Tony would do a game with only 3 pitchers. They'd have to have a 10-2 lead....I don't see that happening.

Dusty felt the need to waste Greinke in game 3....wouldn't surprise me al all to see him pitch McCullers in game 4 with an attempt to slam the door shut. If that happens....no way the Sox are getting a huge lead, but it would be a bad move. Sox against McCullers at the Rate would be a much better scenario.

Agree completely. It has always been part of the game. Using cameras and stuff is a completely different thing.

Yeah I am curious what they do as well. I would think they would want him going in game 5 at home. But I guess it depends on their confidence in the other guy

If it were me, I'd think Mc Cullers, at home in a game 5 is a firewall for winning this series.

Sox are good at home and may be able to scratch out a win against him. If that happens, my goodness is that a confidence booster for the Sox heading into a Game 5.

That is how I would see it as well. They are still in the drivers seat, no need to adjust plans. McCullers in game 5 is their best option.

Agree as well, but its Dusty driving

If you don't want the runner on second to pick up the signs, stick your SS in front of the motherfucker and block his view.

Dusty has to project confidence to his team and save McCullers. Win Game 4 and McCullers starts game 1 in the ALCS.

Dusty is probably waiting to use McCullers in Game 6.

May be true, but he's still better than our befuddled guy this series.

LaRussa redeemed himself last night for his use of relievers and Vaughn pinch hitting.

His managing last night was masterful.

And he's down 2-1 in part due to his stupidity

McCullers splits show he's actually better on the road. Still....for a playoff series, I'd much rather have him ready for game 5. Dusty being Dusty.

This is no gimme but any stretch, but I'd consider it a break. Regardless of splits, I'd much rather face him in Chicago. Now....the boys have to have good at bats.

I have no particular desire to face him tomorrow. I understand the reasoning that it is better than facing him in Houston in a Game 5. My reasoning is that I want what is best to win the game in front of me.

It's not like this guy is Bob Gibson.

Definately not Gibson, but has been the best pitcher in the series by far.

So, say, three and a half trashcan lids out of five?

Thanks.

I didn't want to be the Cub fan guy sounding like I'm trolling but why are you guys freaking out so much about this guy?

He's not even Hoot Gibson.

I didn't picture this series as pitching-dominant.

I said best pitcher in the series. Bummer has an ERA north of 13. Let's not be dumb.
