Well you guys had a fun season and I enjoyed watching Sox baseball as an alternative to my team. I had high hopes for your postseason and I feel your frustration tonight. It sure still feels like they're light at the end of the tunnel. I can say that you'll anticipate next spring with a certain feeling that I won't feel for a while.

That was kind of a weird season. Bright moments with Field of Dreams, Opening Day with fans agains, Yermin, clinching, and some deadline trades that seemed awesome at the time.

But the injuries in the first half and the decline in the second half were capped with a disappointing ALDS loss.

No doubt in my mind that Dusty threw at Abreu on purpose to kill any potential rally. The pitcher acted surprised, but he knew what he did. You can't possibly be that far off the plate inside as a professional pitcher, much less one pitching in a divisional series.

Disgraceful umpiring they allowed it to stand and didn't toss the guy.

If Tony has his way, Alvute now has an indefinite target on his head any time he plays against the Sox.

This performance was completely pathetic. I would like to see more questions asked about that than the Abreu bullshit. Why was the team so unprepared? Why did the team not show up today?

It was a failure from the top down. Not just in the playoffs, but during the last months of the regular season as well.

Any criticisms of the team were waved away with the idea that the Sox could magically flip a switch once the playoffs started. Instead of pushing to get home field advantage, the team coasted. A nice finish against garbage teams gave some false hope too.

There has to be an improvement next year.

and they had a day off to prepare. that should've re-calibrated their energy, and it seemed to zap it instead. houston was the team playing like it was an elimination game.
