It is a shame that dolphin did not get to watch any playoff baseball this year.

Last thing I'm going to say about the game is how unprofessional the broadcast crew was after the Abreu HB by mocking LaRussa's protest. They were making all sorts of faces and hand gestures. Who fucking does that?

Instead of saying "that isn't going to do anything", Pierzinski could have at least stood up for the White Sox manager. You mean he never protested any call during his time as catcher? He never got heated? Where was the loyalty?

The broadcast team were clowns for game three and four and should all be fired.

He’s always got the Bears.

Disgraceful umpiring they allowed it to stand and didn't toss the guy.

If Tony has his way, Alvute now has an indefinite target on his head any time he plays against the Sox.

Can't expect anything else from a low-character franchise and manager.

2nd game in a row they hit Abreu and and still the umps did not toss the pitcher.

What more do you need to make that call?

If Tony is all about the Unwritten rules and respecting the game.....Altuve gets chin music.

Instead, Hendriks throws a straight fastball down the middle and Altuve rocks it.

Tony embarrassed himself grandstanding out there when the team was toast. It doesn't matter if Abreu was hit intentionally or not.

It's not Tony's fault the team didn't play well. The roster is what it is. Houston's roster was clearly better. Still....I'd be perfectly fine if Tony wasn't back next year. He had a better team to work with than Ricky and got the same result.

Abreu was definitely hit intentionally on Sunday after the Grandal play at the plate. Rodon drilled Altuve yesterday and that's when the game started coming apart for the Sox.

I haven't gotten to watch them nearly enough this year either.

I listened to Len/DJ since I don't get FS1. Was paying less and less attention as the game went on.

I was surprised that Tony let Kopech go out to start the 4th. It's like everyone forgot that the three batter minimum doesn't apply once the inning ends, unless he goes back out to start the next inning. TLR should have had Lynn warming up alongside Kopech and then come out to start the 4th. The outcome might not have been different, but Lynn should have been out there as it was still close at that point. Give them once around the order, then go to some combination of Tepera/Bummer, then Hendricks.

Given that he wasn't used, then I was surprised that Lynn didn't get up in his own initiative and start throwing the minute Abreu got hit in the 8th. Take the fucking ball instead of Hendricks, go in and hit the first batter in the ribs, take the 15 game suspension (so 2 starts in April when they don't need a 5th starter), and walk off the mound to a standing meatball ovation.

At the end of the day, the White Sox offense just didn't show up. McCullers is good, but he's not prime Maddux or Gibson.

They certainly did not, but neither did the pitching staff.

I realize it's 100% meatball, but given the score, the Abreu HBP, and past cheating, if Hendriks wasn't going to throw one into Altuve's ribs in the 9th......

Oh, its not over. I fully expect this to carry over into next season. I would rather the Sox just beat the Astros on the scoreboard rather than in the HBP count, but I think Altuve is going to get hit more than once the next time the Sox play. This is especially true if LaRussa is back.

It's probably a 15 game suspension at that point. Can't have a closer out for the first 15 games next year. That's why I thought a starter might magically come in.

Carrying over into the next season is beyond ridiculous. the game and series was already long lost. If you don't want it to be your closer, than you bring a pitcher of no consequence right then and there and pound him with an inside fastball. Instead, Altuve embarrasses the team even further by crushing a 3 run homer. Shit....give the ball to Abreu to pitch and pound him. Then again...he'd probably miss

Sox broke McCullers.

He's off the ALCS roster due to forearm issues.
