Hey I watch the games and swear about the calls like everyone else. I just find that they go both ways and blaming them rather than the players or coaches is folly. Thinking that they literally somehow favor your arch rival is just plain meatball.

Like I said, I count on the calls. I factor them into my spreads. It's made me money.

Bears have 13 more penalties called on them than the Pack but I think most of that differential is in undisciplined, unforced pre snap errors.

Herbert is who I thought he was. He has GREAT vision. This game felt like Nagy was calling plays. I have no idea why they went away from Herbert when he was dominating. Fields calmly makes a lot of dumb decisions with the ball. Throw the fucking ball away or be decisive about running. I know Fields is young, but the offense should have been able to take advantage of a banged up secondary.

What it really means is that mid-tier running backs are pretty much from fungible.

If we are still talking about teams getting favored calls from the refs....no one does it like Seattle. These mother fuckers get every call in the world in their favor and they NEVER get called for anything for their bullshit on defense.

Tampa stops the run which is the only thing the Bears do somewhat well on offense, could be a very long day for the rookie QB.

When you look at the team offensive stats it makes you really wonder why the hell Nagy is still coaching this team, the passing offense which he designed is dead last by a wide margin, the run game which he hates is top 10. Just think where the team could be if it had a competent NFL offensive mind running the show, and more importantly if it had a GM that could actually recognize NFL level offensive talent?

Team would be putting up historically bad offensive numbers if Nagy was still calling plays, get that man as far away as possible from your potential franchise QB as soon as possible, Nagy is one of the worst offensive minds in the NFL.

Thank you Packers. Fire Nagy, Pace, and build a program around Fields so we don't have to say "Hey look, Fields had 3 nice throws today in those 150 yards he got!".

Apparently someone briefly changed the Bears' Wikipedia page to show that Rodgers was the owner and that Matt Nagy was his son.

Pretty sure Nagy was calling plays before halftime, and late in the 4th quarter.

He's a two down back right now. Not very good at blocking or receiving and doesn't have home run speed. He looks good at the most important part of the position but obviously has some warts right now. You can definitely teach blocking and get better at receiving. He looked way better than "just a guy" at running. Very good vision and balance and is always leaning forward at the end of his run.

I don't know what people expected when starting a rookie. This is exactly how the overwhelming majority of them play. He showed quite a bit by which to be encouraged. He also looked slow in his recognition.

No one, even on the meatball post games seems to be addressing this: teams are taking too many free shots at him without his teammates responding. The guy who late hit him in the head should have been scheduled for knee surgery today. Mario Edwards takes some stupid penalties but at least the guy sets a tone. I thought Mustipher and Barrs were supposed to play with the kind of red ass that addresses these situations.

Lazor has been fired in his previous spots for being bad at play calling, right?

I went to the game yesterday and had the most pleasant day that couldn't be ruined by the loss. Left giving ourselves plenty of time. Tailgated with Bari subs and eye tie cookies. Walked into the game an hour before kickoff to avoid lines. Hung out with more subs and football after to avoid traffic. Just great.

It sucks to be back in the office.

Yeah can you imagine what Kreutz would have done if someone had took a free shot at his QB

I would say this no matter the quarterback, I just don't know what defenders are supposed to do when they are going to dive to make a tackle and all of the sudden the quarterback decides to slide or sometimes they lower their head slightly. It sucks for all defenders but do understand the need for the rule.

Did the tv commentators remark at what a bad game Tashaun Gipson played.

Three incredibly important missed tackles that then all went for big gaines.

Not exactly. Cincinnati scored a lot of points, but Dalton would wet the bed when it mattered.

Between a dumbass taunting penalty every game, and the being "rapey" how the fuck is this guy still on the team?

When the play doesn't get in on time after a stoppage, it's always Matt Nagy.

When you run 4 deep routes on 3rd and 15, it has to be Matt Nagy.

Tampa also played on Thursday, so they have a couple of extra days to prepare for the Nagy/Lazor juggernaut. If Brady gets any time, he is going to pick apart that secondary. Also, should Tampa go up by 10+ points early (plausible), the Bears are going to have to throw to try and stay in the game. Agree that next week could get ugly real quick for the Bears.

Olin stuck up for Cutler for chrissakes.

Hawg, the GB defender had made up his mind that he was going for the hit. He lead with this helmet. He wasn't going to pull up no matter what. Sometimes the defenders are caught in no man's land, but that wasn't the case with the hit on Fields yesterday.
