How bad is Brady's thumb? Can the Bears secondary contain the Buccaneers wide receivers?

Bucs have revenge in mind after last year's loss to the Bears. Same story as last week: the defense performs adequately enough to win but the offense stays impotent. I'll allow for a defensive TD and/or short field TD for the Bucs due to a Fields TO.

Bucs 34
Bears 17

I'm going to the game.

I have no hope they even keep it close.

Bucs can name the score.

Sure Johnson may be able to hold down Evans. Who is holding down Goodwin and Brown and their TE group?

They'll do decent enough to win. After week 1 the Bears seemed to have corrected a few things.

I really love the potential of Johnson. That may have been an early round home run for Pace. Thanks Raiders!

On the road and not sure how hot and humid it will be down there. I suspect a game similar to the one vs Packers. Hopefully less self inflicted penalties and some improved competence on Offense.
Fields has to have some better awareness in the pocket and when to take off and when to throw it away. I know that will come with time.

Bears will keep it close, even have a glimmer of hope of winning in the 4th, but then Brady stomps on that glimmer.

Bucs 24 Bears 13

Just slap Brady's hand a few times. Whatever he took at the start of last game had faded by halftime. He couldn't throw the ball accurately beyond 10 yards.

Ybor City is pretty cool and fun. The original Columbia restaurant is there and worth visiting. Make a reservation though.

bears will have a lot to play for. a bad loss to the bucs will effectively end the season. the embarrassment will be huge. it might be a close game because of this. well see.

cant wait for the next GB game. it should be ugly, no matter what. #thuglife

I continue to be excited with prospect of Fields. The interception on the potential offsides has me more excited than any Bear QB play since cutler. I can’t recall the last bear QB to take a deep shot on the free play.

Can anyone recall the last huck on one of these. I can only envision the offense running the play as called and likely taking the 5 yards.

The sacks will happen as he gets used to the speed of nfl defensive linemen. He is faster than anyone coming at him. Once he understands what their burst looks like he should be able to keep his distance. Is there a QB you trade straight up from that draft for? Nothing clear cut and he was the 11th pick.

I'm not sure how "having a lot to play for" makes a difference. I would think that they had a lot to play for against the Packers since 1st place was at stake. Does Nagy coach better or Fields make better decisions? Does the defense go to 11?

I love the 13.5 line. Bears will keep it within 2 TDs

This starts ugly and gets uglier. Bucs will be ahead by 20 points for most of the game.

I agree that Fields has a lot of upside but I'd be more excited about that free play if he threw it somewhere in the vicinity of a Bears player. Also, 32 out of 32 teams would still take Trevor Lawrence.

The Bucs are hurting in the secondary but that's not an area where the Bears seem capable of taking advantage. I don't see them scoring more than 10 points so that would mean they hold Brady to 24. Maybe, but I'm going Bucs 27 Bears 7.

If Brady isn't completely Brady, I kinda like the Bears chances to steal one. There should be quite a few Bears fans in the stands.

Bears will end up scoring some points because they will get a couple of drives together in garbage time long after the outcome of the game has been determined. I think the only question is if the Bears cover that 13.5 or not.

It's not about meds...lucid thoughts just aren't his thing.
