If Hunter's knee issues are behind him this is going to be a breakout year for him.

I wanted the Bulls to draft Reddish out of Duke. You didn't like him Shakes.

I wasn't sure on him, but I was ok with the pick just based on his potential and build. Plus we got a much more sure thing in Hunter 6 picks earlier in the same draft. I've been up and down on him ever since though. But, loved what he did in the ECF after missing 3 months and had high hopes for him coming into this season. He still takes way too many bad shots, but hopefully he'll reign that in as he gets more experienced. Love his defense and love that he's grown 2 inches since we drafted him. Between him and Hunter Hawks have a couple elite defensive wings.

Hawks looked great last night and have a pretty easy slate of games coming up.

No analysis from Shakes regarding his Atlanta Hawks getting bounced by lowly Cleveland Saturday aye?Trae also was thoroughly outplayed by Rubio too.

Hunter 5-16
Bogi 2-7
Trae 8-22
Huerter 2-9

That's why they lost to the Cavs, those 4 couldn't hit a shot. Bogi and Huerter were especially bad. At least Trae contributed with 8 buckets and 7 assists. Hunter contributed with great defense. The two white guys did nothing positive.

Oh well, they weren't going 82-0. 4 games this week vs bad teams. Hoping for 4-0 but will settle for 3-1.

good bounce back for the Hawks last night taking care of the lowly Pistons.

Trae went for 32 and 9 on 13/21 shooting.

Cam Reddish continues his early assault on the Most Improved Player trophy.

Would have been nice for the Bulls to have Porter and Reddish instead of White and Carter.

Hawks would be wise to trade Trae for Rubio straight up

I'd make that trade in a heartbeat.

Trade Young is shooting a robust 31.3% from 3 to start the season. I'm sure he will pick up the pace to match his 34.3% from last year.

I'm sure Shakes and Bagels still will tell you he is shooting great however.

Hawks need someone other than Trae to hit a shot on the road. Barely got by New Orleans last night thanks to Trae's 31/7, but Bogi, Huerter and Reddish were a combined 6-25.

Next up another road game tonight at Washington who played and beat overrated Boston last night.

Trae 30 on 27 shots and NO got hosed at the end. That was a foul on Graham's drive to the bucket by Capella.

Hawks got hosed all game by the refs. Collins barely got to play because of it.

Trae 13-27 from the field and killing it in the mid range this year. Said he was going to develop a mid range jumper to combat the refs cracking down and so far he hasn't lost a beat despite getting half as many free throw attempts per game. Compare that to Harden who has completey gone to crap now that he isn't getting foul calls.

He's developing a mid range game because 34% volume shooting from 3 point land isn't going to win a lot of games.

Trae is getting housed on Defense as usual and removing all of the free throw shooting from his game is going to have an adverse effect on him. The Hawks are more than just him but they are nowhere near contender status. I'm feeling extremely good about our wager at this point

He can hit 3s just fine. It's the 3.5s he needs to quit.

Leave the 8th best PG in the league alone.

The lack of free throws hasn't adversely affected his game so far. His stats haven't dipped at all so far.

And his defense is noticeably better than seasons past.

Nothing wrong with 8th. 8th is good. I could have used Real Plus/Minus and said 14th.

Still can't guard a light pole if you put an AK and a hand grenade in his hands. They hide him (By making the Hunters and Reddish's of the world designated get fucked up men) against elite PGs with even 2nd tier guys (Rubio/Graham) dropping 20 on him with ease. He will never be more than a turnstile for his career.

that won't happen given his terrible defense and inefficient offense. Shakes got me on this one though. I will continue the fight til the bitter end however.   My guy Fultz will be back shortly however. New coach. New Offense. Watch the explosion as a result!
