I can't believe a $150 annual pass to Six Flags also included two meals a day.

It's a good deal but as a guy who is relies on provable figures, he has to know he isn't telling the truth.

Dork Saves Some Money By Eating Free Meals At Six Flags doesn't have the same cache.

Does he just alternate between pizza, burgers and chicken on a daily basis?

And funnel cakes.

There are very few things better in life than a hot funnel cake loaded with powder sugar.

Then after you are done eating it, it looks like the cocaine bag exploded on you.

My uncle's company used to rent the park for a day in between the end of the season and fright fest. They gave everyone 20 dollars of monopoly money that could be used for food at the park. We could not spend all of it. The giant sundae waffle cone over by Iron Wolf was better than a funnel cake any day!!!

It's probably about right. I think member ship is around 65-75 and the meal plan could be another 60 or so. 150 sounds close. No way I could their food everyday and it's slow as fuck - at least Gurnee is.

Because he’s likely obese or just obviously annoying?

You used to be able to get ramen noodles 10/$1.

If he's eating 730 meals / year, he could have cut his annual meal budget in half. Hell, he could throw in a few frozen burritos/week and still come in under $150.

Also, there's no way in hell he could go 5 minutes to a Six Flags, even walking, get in the park, wait in line, get his food and walk back in an hour reliably every day.

My wife works with a pharmacist who does that every day at the Sam's Club just down the road.

I haven't been there in maybe 10-12 years. It was pretty haggard back then. Has it improved?

And I remember thinking at the time that the food had more variety in the early eighties.

Food is horrible. Rides are good. Can’t speak to the early 80s, but saying you eat there every meal makes you a sociopath or a liar.

i haven't been there in awhile either , but i thought the pricing was more akin to a baseball game or stadium, aka pretty pricey...seems strange they'd offer a food pass like that for so cheap.

It has been a few years ago, but my family used to get season memberships to Six Flags and they would always try to add on food stuff and they would negotiate some times to get it for pretty cheap. They seemed desperate to get any additional income

Tailgating in the parking lot at Six Flags is the only way to go.

I guess I get that , but on the other hand if you've bought a season pass that kinda implies you're going to be coming a decent # of times...and chances are at least some of those times you'll buy food and/or beverage, so why discount it ?

Yeah it really does not make any sense for them to drop the price. Some times we would plan ahead and take food to eat at the vehicle, but even on those times you could bet we would spend some money on drinks and snacks a long the way.

Thats what im saying. You would have to live across the street, and even if you did, youre spending hours every day to get two meals.

This whole story, and its not the first ive seen this year about it, SCREAMS pr move by six flags. They made this dude up, because last time i heard about this it was a woman.

Least shocking aspect of this story in 2021.

It makes total sense. First of all, the shitty food costs them basically nothing. 2nd, nobody is actually doing this without buying other crap while theyre there. Its literally the same thing costco and others do. Loss leaders to get people in the doors. Fucking bars do this with shot specials. Its not a special idea, nor an overall financial detriment. They do it because it generates revenue. Think of how many people read this bullshit, buy season passes, and only go maybe 5 times
