I still remembering seeing Denny Hastert on my ballet in western Bureau county knowing that my parents lived in his district on the DuPage /Kane border. Hell of a district. I think my polling place place had 3 districts that election. Two for sure as the people to the north were in Lane Evans district which had a striking resemblance of a rabbit on a skate board.

It’s a horribly scummy practice that’s encouraged the rise of extremist candidates.

Nonetheless, the conservative leaning Supreme Court declined to gut the practice.

Republicans have known the game and never gave an inch to independent commissions. Democrats got bamboozled enacting independent commissions in places like CA and CO.

IL Democrats are just as slimy as Republicans. They know how to play dirty.
