Doesn't matter. Look at the records in the NFC. The Bears have lost to San Francisco, the Rams, Packers even with 7 teams going, the Bears are not making the playoffs

At this point, I say Lions get win #1 on Thanksgiving.

The problem is if you trade ARob, Fields won’t develop. Not that he seems to have any chemistry with Fields anyway. But at least he’s competent.

Fields looked good, but ouch what an awful team overall. The Mack trade looks as though they gave up 2 first round picks, tens of millions of dollars and won't win a playoff game with him. If training camp was the reason that Fields and Robinson can't gel, then why is Fields successful with other options like Mooney and Kmet? They didn't have any more reps with Fields than Robinson did.

I listened to the 4th quarter on the radio, and I haven't heard Joniak so flat out disgusted for years.

He is Fields' 5th option for god knows what reason. I would absolutely love to have him on the Pack. He might punch their ticket. When he is locked in and has a qb that can work with him he is outstanding.

Robinson hasn't practiced in weeks

I was hoping Field’s performance today would quiet some of the naysayers.

When you look at TB to today, yes big improvement.

The question will be can he build on it and play well in a hostile environment during prime time

The Bears are like 3rd or 4th in the league in rushing. The passing game shouldn't be too far behind, but we don't really have a lot of receiving talent.

There is a handful of quarterbacks in the NFL who can make the touchdown throw he made today to James.

And it’s time to break up the band.

That line is not as bad as people say it is. Those guys can move bodies. When you have the exact same rushing result from 3 different RB's that have been forced to start due to injuries the constant is the blocking. I feel bad for Monty. He was in line for a huge payday but the more the backups succeed the smaller his next paycheck gets.

Don’t worry. Hub will explain why they really weren’t that bad.

Hub hasn’t a good competent football thought in at least a decade

Pace isn’t selling anything unless he has a guarantee to be back.

Pace should be the first one out the door. He has tons of bad paper committed to rapidly fading defensive players, will be quite a challenge to rebuild the D given the lack of draft capital and cap room, unless you can flip a few of the defensive vets.

Bad stretch for my guy.

Heard Olin talking about how the league, "may have figured out Desai", but it looked like the D gave up and a lot of the guys were making business decisions. Niners identified a weakness at OLB and mercilessly attacked, if guys are not interested in attacking their gap and making tackles it makes it real easy to pound the ball at them, they ran at the same gap repeatedly in the 4th quarter, just flipped sides of the field, Quinn always comes inside with his rush which makes it real easy to wash him inside and run right into the empty gap he should be filling if he is playing the proper technique.

Id say thats a throw I expect 100% of first round qbs to make. Throw in a scramble TD where he reversed field and the defense lost contain. Mitch had made those type of plays dozens of times . The occasional nice throw, a nice scramble. They scored all of 2 tds today. Pardon my expectations being a little higher than that for the franchise saving qb.

Thayer too.

I'm used to Thayer occasionally getting disgusted with poor line play on either side of the ball. But Joniak was just pissed at the defensive front 7 (other than Hicks) for not giving a shit.

Where's the praise for Fields coming from? He lost to a worse team record-wise at home. Fields threw for just 175 years and couldn't connect on any deep throws.

As for his running, Mitch could run, too.

The Bears are who we think they are. Not even bumslayers at this point. Couldn't even cover with points at home against a bad team.

Imagine when he throws for 6 TD against the Lions on Thanksgiving.

Mully and Haugh are out of their minds this morning. Mully said Fields played “great,” and Haugh suggested Fields was the best QB on the field yesterday.

It's a pretty good run-blocking unit, but the pass blocking is frequently atrocious. As for Monty, he is probably a little better than Herbert, but the difference seems negligible. Unfortunately, Monty will have little or no value on the trade market, like most of the other players on this hapless and hopeless Bears roster.

Garoppolo played better yesterday, but he did so by "holding the ball" too long. As is often the case with him, most of his big passes came after he failed to pull the trigger on the called play and created extra time in the pocket by scrambling. He can't read defenses for shit and basically just plays street ball a la Jay Cutler during the Bears' Mike Tice OC era.

Mitch rarely threw while rolling to his left. He was/is an elite thrower while moving to the right. I don't recall him making the kind of throw Fields made yesterday while moving to the left, but it's possible I am repressing memories from the Mitch era due to their traumatic nature.

I thought Fields looked comfortable and decisive yesterday. His touch on long passes isn't the same for whatever reason. During the preseason and when he initially took over as starter, Fields had a great touch on the deep ball. I'm not sure what has changed.

Yeah, that one throw in the second half looked like he just winged it as far as he could, and it sailed 15 yards over everyone.

He looked like he was rushing the deep throws yesterday even though he had time. Seeing the proverbial ghosts, I guess.

You're on the dead list, I don't think you're allowed to post if you're unliving

Bears fans: Justin Fields might have the worst QBR/Rating/statistical performance in the history of the NFL, but that's b/c he's playing behind a weak offensive line and has unremarkable receivers. No first-time starting in the NFL QB could play well in that situation.

Mike White (playing behind the 30th ranked O-Line in the league with a collection of cast-off receivers): Hold my beer

if an undrafted guy from Western Kentucky can walk off the street and pack the stat sheet behind a leaky o-line with back-up receivers, maybe zach wilson and justin fields are more the problem than their supposedly crap teammates.

Itll take Bears fans another 3 years to arrive at that conclusion. Almost like something we just went through.

In recent history, we've seen at least 1 Mike White like performance a year. The unknown guy plays well for a quarter, half or a game, and then goes back to sucking. Rarely do they ever turn out to be good or even stars. I believe we've gotten 3 of those games so far ths year.

How did Borom do yesterday? I really didn't watch his play but hopefully Thayer or Olin had some thoughts

Other than 1 play, I thought he looked fine pass blocking. The entire offensive line punted on run blocking in the 2nd half.
