I've been living in a Dallas hotel room since Thursday. Only place I can easily get beer is 7/11. Thought I would go down memory lane and buy some Budweiser which I drank a lot of as a youngster. Bad choice. My digestive system apparently hates the stuff and hates me for putting it in there.

I feel ya, Boner. When I was in college, I used to shotgun Bud tall boy sixers pretty routinely. Now, though, I can't get near the stuff without feeling the urge to puke. I've pretty much been ruined by the NE IPA genre and can't stomach much else.

Heineken: even the smell is horrible but somehow gets sold as a premium export consumed by James Bond

Miller Lite is fine for all day drinking.

Funny story about the smell of Heineken. It's caused by light entering the bottles and causing a chemical reaction with the ingredients. So when they canned it, it didn't smell the same and there was backlash.
So... they installed some specialty equipment to expose the beer to uv prior to canning so it would be a similar product.

Miller/Bud/Coors light have their place. If you're on the golf course or doing yardwork or on the lake and that stuff is around and ice cold, its fine. Goose 312 also works for this as well.

Of those, Miller Lite would be the worst. In situations like the above, I've had it but I'm not sure I have ever bought any outside of a Sox game when they used to only have Miller products. High Life is good for what it is.

I too am a bigfan of the NE/hazy IPAs, but I drink those much less often in the summertime.

Hazy IPAs are oversaturated. Understated, highly attenuated lagers are the new hotness.

I can't drink Miller lite or Genuine draft without getting a screaming headache half way through the can so I'm going to go with those with special hatred directed at the genuine draft. My Montana years made the Coors products and Key light far too familiar but they never gave me the splitting headache at least.

That's my choice. My buddy used to work for AB and he said it's the worst beer in the lineup.

That is the now the free beer at low end casinos in Vegas. I was thrilled to get one…until I tried it. On a side note, my bother gave me one of those old Hamms signs where the scene moves and a canoe is on the shore. Pretty cool.

I get the same reaction from the AB brands- I was once told it was because Bud is a rice-based beer rather than wheat. Today, I don't know if that remains true, but I still get a splitting headache from half a beer.

I remember being excited to drink Heineken like the late Eddie VanHalen, never finished the first one.

Right now, the only beers here are Rolling Rock.
