Hill is a gadget player, and I said the Saints need a viable backup.

Dalton probably is better. Foles at best may be equal.

Clearly there is zero chance for the playoffs this year. Remaining games:

@Pittsburgh LOSS
Baltimore LOSS
@Detroit WIN
ARIZONA LOSS
@GREEN BAY LOSS
MINNESOTA WIN
@SEATTLE LOSS
NEW YORK WIN
@MINNESOTA LOSS

6-11 seems almost a lock. With that in mind, they should be dealing Dalton/Foles and anyone on the defense. They can't let anyone on the offense go, as it would interfere with Fields' development. But I don't see them trading anyone other than maybe Dalton, as they need to finish with at least 8 wins to keep their jobs.

I wouldn't even be so sure about the Bears winning on Thanksgiving. Detroit is very likely to be 0-10 at that point (BYE, @Pitt, @Cle), and that game could be their Super Bowl.

Bears won't beat Minnesota or New York. New York is on the upswing.

I would say 6-11 is pretty close, but you know they are going to go all Bears by beating someone like Baltimore and then losing to Detroit.

While I agree that somehow they will win a game that they have no business winning, Jackson is going to pick that secondary apart.

Seattle isn't a very good team, but Wilson can still play and that is a tough building to play in. That's the game I think the Bears win.

Or, they beat Arizona 38-13 just beacuse :lol:

Metcalf will peel this secondary off the bottom of his cleats when the game is over. Mass casualty event

Give Robinson and Mack to the Packers. Make Packers pick up salary for Mack

I don't fear a man who dyes his hair green or blue. Plus he has Bear blood flowing through his body.

The irony is too little too late -if they’d have realized last year was the year to do this they’d get better value for guys like Mack (and maybe Fuller) while also most likely losing more games after those guys are gone which in turn moves them higher in the draft to possibly already be in position to draft Fields without trading away picks to do so..

With Herbert looking good why not see if a team might give up a 2nd rounder for Montgomery?

He's coming off IR in the next two weeks. I'd call the Titans and see what we could get. They just signed the corpse of AD.

No they wouldn't have. The dramatic reduction in the salary cap screwed every team in the NFL. No team had room to take on those contracts.

Hopefully we will see Jenkins and Borom on the filed together this year so we can have some level of game evaluation of them.

Borom didn't look bad.

Been saying this for weeks, glad to see everyone else finally get onboard!

There is no motivation for Pace/Nagy to trade assets because they are still fighting to keep their jobs, a directive to unload vets for pics will have to come from above them.

Would be excited about a collection of extra late round picks if I had someone else picking the groceries, Pace has picked maybe one or two offensive players that are solid NFL starters during his tenure, everyone chirps about Mooney, Daniels, and Whitehair, but they are at best average NFL players.

Bears are in NFL hell right now and George extended their stay there by at least two years by failing to move on from Pace/Nagy last year, no that's wrong, their stay there is likely permanent as long as George and Ted Phillips are continued to be trusted to pick out GM's and coaches.

I don’t know what each individual teams Salary Cap position was last year -and I’m guessing you don’t either. If a team wanted to make deal I’m sure they’d have moved money around and found a way to make it happen. Either way, they’d have gotten better value last year for a guy like Mack (for example) than this year while he’s out with an injury.

It really says something when scoring 22 points -- as the Bears did versus San Francisco -- is considered an offensive explosion. The Bears' offense played a little better in Week 8, but it's nowhere close to good enough. -- Jeff Dickerson

Shocking.

It's a win that Pace wasn't allowed to give up 2 draft picks for Suggs.
