I don't disagree at all. McDonald's is repulsive.

Speaking of overrated fast food chains...

I mean it might be overrated, but eating there at least has the added benefit of upsetting the gays

Most fast food places that get a lot of hype are over rated. Never been more underwhelmed by food than my double double from in and out. Animal style or not.

Loved Portillos for a long time. Had their Italian Beef this weekend. It was pretty bad. That's sad. The hamburger we had was FAR SUPERIOR.

They have a good product but it is hardly fast food. The car lines seem intentional.

Their burger is grilled on a conveyor like Burger King with a slightly thicker patty. It's not bad, but they don't even try to melt the cheese.

Meh. It's just a differently named Hardees, which has repeatedly failed to catch on in the Chicago area. It's an option only when I'm stuck on the Indiana Tollway.

Eating a bacon cheeseburger right now. Dry, not inspiring.

I always liked the polish but nothing there was ever very good. The shakes are decent.

hardees is now carls jr, not the other way around. the food is way better than old hardees, but it varies by location as far as quality. some are still gross. if you get a good one, its a guilty pleasure food. not healthy at all though.

I tried a different Portillo's this afternoon, American had fucked up my flights and I wasn't going to be able to take my father out for lunch so I figured I'd bring an early dinner. Stopped at the one on 83/St. Charles to see if there was a difference in the Italian Beef.

There was.

It was horrible. My dad, who will eat anything, threw it out. The Double Cheeseburger was ok, but definitely not as good as pre-COVID.

And they were out of large drink cups. 355/Butterfield was out of them two weeks ago. I suspect that they are downsizing them by a few ounces and rolling a new size out across the area.

Other than the occasional jumbo dog, I don't see myself returning soon.

For a moment, I thought they would give me two regular shakes for the price of one large shake.

Just for a moment...

All men have said that at one time or another. It sucks. I don't think there is a good/decent whatever beef by me now.

I got my doors installed today, 6 months later. So, shortages are over.

I don't care anymore.

That's pretty funny. I feel like the doors were making you mad. Is it really about the doors?

I've always thought Portillos is overrated. But people love it. I've seen the lines. I've been there to pick up orders for my sisters parties. She asks me to pick it up when they have parties cuz it's on my way to her house. I never tell my sister I think it's not that good cuz she's the host and she and her husband like it. So who am I to say anything when she's the host?

The Portillo's drive thru line is a nightmare on weekend nights. They must bank a ton of money Friday through Sunday.
